Therefore, research was carried out and preparation of science learning materials focused on scientific literacy. The aim of this research is to describe the validity of junior high school science teaching materials based on scientific literacy on the topic of earth layers and disasters, evaluated through assessments from experts. The research approach applied is research and development (R&D) using a modified four-D (4D) model. In this research, there are three validation phases, namely defining, designing, and developing. Respondents in this research and development consisted of three validators who work as academics. The data collected is quantitative in the form of product validation scores from questionnaires. The study results show that the module validity level reaches 90%, with an average validity value of 3.59, without any revisions. Meanwhile, the validity of the scientific literacy module reached 95%, with an average validity value of 3.71, without revision. Crop top is one type of clothing that is most widely used as an outfit, especially for young people. Today's women are individuals who are very fond of making fashion changes to keep up with increasingly advanced developments, and crop top make most of them confident users, even like clothing in general nowadays. The aim of this research is to find out how clothing styles are influenced by increasingly rapid developments and how crop top clothing is used as a front stage for women and a back stage in the real lives of women who wear crop top clothing today. The method used is a qualitative method, data collection through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research uses Erving Goffman's Dramaturgical theory. The results of the research show that Jember University students who are fans of the crop top style of clothing have reasons to get an impression from the general public in order to gain an image as a representative of today's trendy kids. So that makes them acceptable in society, but what is surprising is that the reality they have behind the public is not like what is seen on the surface. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Permasalahan yang dikaji yaitu tentang struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan dalam teks berita yang ditulis siswa. Data penelitian berjumlah 25 teks berita. Teks berita siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 17 Kerinci belum menggunakan struktur yang tepat, banyak siswa menggabungkan dua struktur menjadi satu paragraf. Dari aspek kaidah kebahasaan masih banyak terdapat kesalahan. Pada penggunaan kalimat langsung dan konjungsi bahwa, banyak siswa yang tidak menggunakannya. Pada penggunaan kata kerja mental, hanya sebagian kecil siswa yang menggunakannya.
