We sought to discuss the strategic importance of this engenho for the creation of the captaincies in the north of the colony. Furthermore, we can see that the plans to use the sugar cane mills on the banks of the main rivers in Paraíba were part of the commercial dynamics of the first centuries of the construction of the Captaincies for the occupation of the territory, and in this context the religious orders played a fundamental role in their implementation, which, in the case of the Miriri mill, the religious of São Bento played a leading role.","PeriodicalId":271365,"journal":{"name":"III SEVEN INTERNATIONAL MULTIDISCIPLINARY CONGRESS","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121521616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Objective: To verify patient safety in the prescription of antibiotics in the ICU and its relationship with the length of stay in a large hospital located in the north of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Methodology: Cross-sectional study in which electronic medical records of patients admitted to the ICU, from February to May 2019, using antibiotics and hospitalization longer than 48 hours, were analyzed. The following variables were considered: age, gender, underlying disease, comorbidities, length of ICU stay, clinical outcome, antibiotic prescribed, and antibiotic prescription errors. For statistical analysis, SPSS 2.5 statistical program was used. Approval CAAE 99487118.5.0000.5343. Findings: 238 patients admitted to the ICU were prescribed antibiotics, with a prevalence of males (54.6%) and 51.3% as the main clinical outcome were discharged. The main underlying diseases were neurological (21%), cardiac (19.7%) and infectious (16.8%). The most prescribed antibiotics, vancomycin 500mg (31.5%), ceftriaxone 1g (31.1%) and meropenem 1g (30.7%). The presence of comorbidities such as acute renal 1.77 (1.11-2.81), hepatic 1.78 (1.05-3.02) and immunodeficiency 1.78 (1.27-2.49) presented a significant prevalence ratio for length of hospital stay. It was observed that regardless of the age of the patients, with each prescription error, the more antibiotics are prescribed, and according to the comorbidities, approximately 7, 3.4 and 2 days of hospitalization are prolonged, respectively. Conclusion: Patient safety is directly impaired with each antibiotic prescription error and the greater the number of these drugs prescribed to ICU patients, the higher the prevalence of length of stay.","PeriodicalId":271365,"journal":{"name":"III SEVEN INTERNATIONAL MULTIDISCIPLINARY CONGRESS","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128522953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Epagri's sweet potato germplasm bank began in 1985 with several collections throughout the state of Santa Catarina. later some introductions of Peru, Embrapa and a collection with several accesses of the research unit of Epagri of Caçador were made. From 2001 to 2003, crosses were made between the existing accessions generating several new genotypes. In this way the sweet potato BAG has already registered more than 700 hits, but currently, due to the losses, the number is reduced to 128. The objective of this work was to select promising materials from the germplasm bank for future crosses taking as main parameters the commercial productivity. The experiment was carried out in a randomized block design totaling 128 treatments (accessions) with three replications and seven plants per plot, and only the five central plants were evaluated, the population was 30000 plants per hectare. the commercial productivity of roots was the variable studied and submitted to analysis of variance and the mean compared by the Scott Knott test at the level of 5% probability of error. the 128 accessions of the Epagri BAG were grouped into five groups by the Scott Knott test, among these groups only 1 with 40 accessions presented average commercial productivity below 17 tons per hectare, an average considered national. Thus, the remaining 88 accessions, which were divided into, 4 groups are promising, with averages ranging from 18 to 84.72 tons per hectare. However, when we talk about improvement and apply a selection differential, the group with the highest average commercial productivity that contained 6 accessions, all with an average of more than 70 tons per hectare, was the one selected to carry out the crossings. The accessions of the Epagri Sweet Potato Germplasm Bank showed promise for the selection of materials for sweet potato crosses and obtaining future genetic materials.","PeriodicalId":271365,"journal":{"name":"III SEVEN INTERNATIONAL MULTIDISCIPLINARY CONGRESS","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116984211","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this objective, a bibliographical review was carried out in materials related to information and communication technologies in teaching, where concepts were extracted that served as prerequisites. In addition, through action research, activities were carried out in the institution's computer room using the GeoGebra software, with the questionnaire as the main instrument for data collection. From the results obtained and the students' satisfaction in the activities developed, it is concluded that the GeoGebra software is a practical and attractive resource that develops spatial visualization skills and can contribute to the teaching-learning process of Descriptive Geometry. Therefore, it is expected that, with this research, the GeoGebra software will be used as an ally of conventional means, as it enables the realization of practical activities, based on problem solving, making the student the protagonist of the learning process.","PeriodicalId":271365,"journal":{"name":"III SEVEN INTERNATIONAL MULTIDISCIPLINARY CONGRESS","volume":"215 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121975831","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Down syndrome is not a disease. It consists of a natural genetic occurrence that happens for unknown reasons, in pregnancy, during the division of the cells of the embryo. It is a chromosomal alteration, when children are born endowed with three chromosomes (trisomy) 21, and not two as usual. This genetic alteration affects the development of the individual, determining some peculiar physical and cognitive characteristics. Faced with the positive diagnosis for down syndrome, family members, especially parents, receive a very large impact and have different reactions, often without knowing what to do, how to proceed, become disoriented, and develop various feelings such as fears, anguish, uncertainty, shame, insecurity, among others. In this sense, the role of the nursing professional is to guide this family, with a humanized approach, passing on to it the care inherent to the patient, and the knowledge about the syndrome. The nursing professional for being in charge of the care the family has in its attributions, especially the care, and in the families that receive this diagnosis its role is of paramount importance to the clarification and welcoming of these parents.","PeriodicalId":271365,"journal":{"name":"III SEVEN INTERNATIONAL MULTIDISCIPLINARY CONGRESS","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122127720","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
