Whereas, the general adoption by the U. S. Weather Bureau of modern meteorological practices and methods as they are developed by investigators from time to time requires special personnel training in some cases which cannot always be secured within the Bureau, therefore, be it Resolved: That the Society expresses hearty approval of the proposal that qualified employees, in limited numbers, be sent to institutions offering training in the required phases of meteorology, at Government expense, for necessary time periods, in order to prepare them for the work of initiating the desired changes in forecasting methods.
