Especially in a (local) research environment, the development may typically happen in some bottom-up form of prototyping. In contrast, standard systems engineering would (still) prescribe a waterfall life cycle. Software engineering would strongly suggest some form of iterative and incremental development. Iterative development has high potential for improvements in general systems engineering, but in contrast to pure software development it also has inherent limits. We investigate these issues and propose a new iterative but not incremental life cycle approach. It involves iterations of requirements engineering and architecting, but not of low-level design, implementation and testing. However, current RFID authentication schemes are not suitable to use in mobile RFID environment since the proposed authentication schemes result in computing load to the low cost tag and provide insufficient protection to the information privacy. To reduce the consumption of the microprocessor of such a system, a way is to power down it when it is inactive. Theoretically, the time during which the microprocessor is inactive represents a pure gain of energy. But practically, we must consider that this time comprises a slot of time during which the clock must be synchronized. We propose to aggregate the idle times of the microprocessor to power down it the least possible but for the longest time possible. This paper presents the implementation of the AURUM methodology into a software solution which addresses the identified shortcomings of existing information security risk management software solutions. New approaches in the field of assessment and standardization application led to an increase of assessment and self assessment systems. But these systems are only the first step on a long way. If the assessment system itself is not supported by a learning and improvement approach, the organization will have a system to identify the status but does not have any support for improvement. This gap can be closed by an approach combining assessment tools, wiki-based knowledge platforms and self-learning expert systems (based on ontologies and semantic wikis). Result is a system environment which provides status assessment, learning and continuous improvement services based on different standards and approaches. This approach is already being implemented for the field of project management. To achieve enhanced situation awareness it is necessary to fuse sensor and information data. By automated fusion of referenced and associated data an aggregation of raw sensor data is achieved. Within the project SOBCAH (Surveillance of Borders, Coastlines and Harbors), an architecture was developed and tested that supports the sharing of information from heterogeneous sources. Paper shows direct connection and implementation way of designed control schemas of prepared applications to an industrial WinPLC. Described is a way to produce a permanent solution in control applications that are fully prepared, designed and implemented directly from MATLAB/Simulink to the target control platform. As a part, the mentioned solution is using a multiplatform control system REX as a bridge between MATLAB and target platforms. This is because most of the Hypermedia systems are not developed taking the heterogeneous needs of the users into account. These systems are made essentially to show all the information to every user. It is known that each user has different levels of knowledge, goals, abilities, and preferences, being necessary a little part of all this information. This fact emphasizes the need of developing systems which can be adapted to different types of users. As the description of the knowledge and features of the user involves uncertainness and imprecise sense, the Fuzzy Theory can be applied in order to deal with this vagueness. Yet in production quality modeling, the knowledge of how output characteristics varies with input attributes gives a great help to forecasting, monitoring and controlling in the production process. In this paper, a production quality modeling method based on regression rules extracted from artificial neural networks is proposed. Each rule corresponds to a subregion of the input space and a linear function that approximates the network output for all the samples in this subregion. The IMU consists of the three elementar stages, measurement stage, processing stage and communication stage. They are implemented on the one single board. The measurement block has 16-bit resolution with 64 provided measurement ranges to sutisfy appropriate accuracy. The power supply is 5 V, which allows to measure current with 238 nA step within 1 mA measurement range.
