Conditions for the optimal solution to the problem are derived from the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions. An algorithm is presented that extends the single radar Q-RAM algorithm by satisfying the KKT conditions for the radar network case. This paper presents a technique for extracting features related to helicopter rotors and aircraft propellers from high range resolution profiles. The two features extracted are rotation rate harmonic (related to the rotation rate and number of blades of the scattering propeller/rotor) and the relative down range location of modulating propeller/rotor. These features provide valuable information for the classification and identification of airborne targets. The proposed algorithm was developed using simulated X-band data generated based on high quality CAD models of actual aircraft. Low range sidelobe level at the radar receiving end can suppress the interference from strong target returns, and hence is an attractive feature for radar systems. In this paper, we study a waveform design method that jointly optimize a phase coded waveform and a mismatch filter. The principal idea is to minimize the peak sidelobe level (PSL) of the range sidelobes after mismatched filtering with a constraint of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) loss with respect to that after matched filtering. The optimization problem is solved by a so-called least-pth minimax algorithm including the Limited-memory BFGS (L-BFGS) algorithm as its subalgorithm. Different from existing works, a colocated MIMO radar with an unequally spaced linear transmit array is considered in this paper. A optimization criterion which jointly optimizes the MIMO waveforms and the spaces among the transmit array elements is proposed. The transmit array location relaxation provides more degrees of freedom for sidelobe suppression, so better results can be achieved. Numerical results indicate that, with the same number of antennas, a wider array aperture can be achieved, so that a higher angular resolution can be obtained. The Agilent E5071B VNA was used to capture measurements over a wide frequency range from 1.5GHz-8.5GHz in a radar mode by attaching horn antennas to each of the ports and pointing them at objects located on a rotatable turntable. The 3dB range resolution obtained with the 7GHz processed bandwidth was approximately 2.9cm. After tomographic processing of measurements captured over the full 360 degrees of platform rotation, the 3dB resolution obtained in the final image was approximately 1.35 cm. A calibration scheme was devised to compensate for the frequency response of the antennas providing high quality images. The target detection therefore becomes more difficult when passive radar is mounted on a moving platform. This is due to the inherent difficulty of differentiating the motion induced by the platform and the variation of the signal characteristic due to the target reflection. In this paper, the viability of applying motion compensation solutions derived from an inertial measurement unit on a moving passive radar platforms is experimentally validated. In this paper, we intend to analyze different multiprocessor based architectures quantitatively for performance metrics and analytical relationship between performance metrics like load imbalance and efficiency of multiprocessor platforms are also brought out. Depending upon particular radar application, these performance metrics are taken into account before deciding the architecture. Monte-Carlo simulations of DOA receiver systems with different receiver architectures, integration methods and DOA algorithms are presented and evaluated. It was found that the receiver design had a greater influence on the performance than the DOA algorithm, so more resources should be directed towards the receiver design than the DOA algorithm. Additionally, autocovariance matrix (ACM) integration is shown to be critical for reliable DOA and should therefore always be included in the system design.
