To establish software architectures from goals and use cases, we propose, in this work, a software architecture design approach with use case blocks based on design structure matrix (DSM). The approach identifies relations between goals and use cases in the DSM and uses DSM partitioning to group goals and use cases in the blocks to form an initial system architecture which includes subsystems or high level components. The scenarios of the use cases are used to design low level components/classes of the corresponding subsystems/components. The proposed approach is illustrated by a benchmark problem domain of a meeting scheduler system.","PeriodicalId":266137,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127270208","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By analyzing the statistical best MV distribution on some well-known test video sequences, a new search pattern is derived with three search rounds including the window center area, cross area and diagonal area based on stationery and quasi-stationery characteristics. Early search termination operations are then applied to the new search pattern before performing DGDS to eliminate unnecessary computations. The enhanced MDGDS algorithm develops a content adaptive technique based on the previously coded frame for early termination thresholds selection to avoid being trapping in local minima. The simulation results show the proposed algorithm provides significant improvement in reducing the motion estimation by about 19% of the average search points saving compared to the fast DGDS algorithm according to different types of sequences, while maintaining a similar bit-rate without losing picture quality.","PeriodicalId":266137,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126068860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Collusion attack is a cost-efficient attack for fingerprinting schemes where classes of users combine their fingerprinted copies for the purpose of attenuating or removing the fingerprints. However, with the increase of the number of colluders, the efficiency of detection will decrease accordingly. This paper identifies a novel secure content distribution framework based on chaotic desynchronization. Wherein the host signal is chaotically desynchronized to get many different copies, which are fingerprinted and delivered to users. The use of fingerprinting along with encryption can provide a double-layer of protection to digital media. Theory analysis and experimental results show that the proposed distribution scheme outperforms the scheme without chaotic desynchronization even a small number of colluders by large margins.","PeriodicalId":266137,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128286821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The motivation is to facilitate trace illegally distributed content by using mapping between hierarchical community of social network and wavelet tree. Firstly, the host signal is encrypted, then the encrypted contents are delivered to users according to social network analysis, at last, the contents are fingerprinted with decryption on the receiving side to get many different copies. Fingerprints which are constructed with social network analysis are embedded in wavelet domain. The use of fingerprinting along with encryption can provide a double-layer of protection to digital media. Theory analysis proves that the proposed framework has significantly better performance than traditional content distribution mode. Experimental results prove that the proposed technique is not only resilient to collusion attacks, but also consume much less CPU time to trace colluders.","PeriodicalId":266137,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128970518","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because of the constraint on the statistic assumptions, the forecasting models established by traditional statistic methods have some limits in its identity. Therefore, in recent years various algorithms imitating of biological behavior have been proposed for improving the accuracy of forecasting models. In this paper, a new artificial bee colony (ABC) based clustering algorithm has been proposed for replacing with previous clustering method to group forecast value by homogeneous. Furthermore, the rough set theory has been utilized to deal with the uncertain data and provide the decision rules and classification results. In the simulation test, the data of listed companies in Taiwan between 1977 to 2011 years have been sampled. Finally, there are 57 companies with bankruptcy crisis have been sifted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods. The simulation results indicate that the accuracy of developed business distress early-warning model is much better than that of other methods, especially in the last year of crisis occurrence.","PeriodicalId":266137,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129010559","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A nurse must teach wound care skills and explain infection symptoms and signs to patients or their families before discharge to help wound healing. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of group teaching with multimedia materials on wound care skills of surgical patients. This study is based on Solomon four-group design to study four surgical wards in a medical teaching hospital. There were 121 surgical patients selected according to purposive sampling, and divided into two experimental groups and two control groups. Test groups received multimedia teaching compiled by the researcher, and control groups received traditional nursing instruction. Performance of one test group and one control group were measured with a structured questionnaire before teaching, and all patients were measured after teaching. Data were collected and analyzed by SPSS/PC software package. Performance of test group and the control group before and after nursing instruction showed statistically significant difference (p=0.00). Wound care skills progress among all the four groups are significantly different (p= 0.002). It is an important task of nursing staff to provide disease-related knowledge and guidance of patient care to reduce complications. This study finds that wound care nursing guidelines with multimedia materials really enhance the wound care skills of patients and family members. It is hoped that this study will be a reference for other health education programs.","PeriodicalId":266137,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125137755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
