Freight road transport, that is one important aspect of environmentally responsible logistics, is discussed in depth. The activity of transport causes a high rate of negative effects on the environment, as pollutants emission (greenhouse gas).The immediate consequence of this effects is depletion of ozone layer and climate change, that is the reason why we must been reducing the emissions from the sector. Nevertheless, the classical capacitated vehicle routing problem (CVRP) with the objective of minimizing the greenhouse gas especially the carbon dioxide (CO2), states for the problem of finding routes for vehicles to serve a set of customers while minimizing the total traveled distance and the CO2 emissions. We present in this paper the technique employed to estimate de CO2 emissions, the emissions matrix and integrate them into the CVRP model and proposes a genetic algorithm to solve this problem. The effectiveness of this approach is tested on a well-known set of benchmarks, and compared to other works from literature. Inadequate assignment of gates may result in flight delays that happen in airport operations and must be taken into account. Here, we are using the original algorithm, based on Markov decision process (MDP) to solve the gate assignment problem (GAP) under uncertainty; we include stochastic parameters that depend on probabilities to express fluctuations in flight operations. The use of MDP for modeling will provide for airport controllers a robust solution for the GAP that takes in consideration possible flight delays. This paper gives the corresponding model, which includes strict constraints of the GAP and other soft constraints like choice preferences of gates. The AMR problem is to determine a particular route for each aircraft to undergo different levels of maintenance checks. The objective is to minimize the total maintenance costs. In this study, our aim is to present a mathematical formulation for the AMR problem which takes into account the case of Aircraft On Ground (AOG). We develop solution approaches based on Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm and Genetic algorithm for solving the problem. Moreover, the associated performance measurements, based on purely statistical indicators, are not adapted to the context of supply chain management. Here we propose two new performance analysis approaches seeking to combine the statistical performance of forecasting methods and inventory management performance. The first objective is to minimize the total time operating theater opening or the makespan. The second is the maximum constraints satisfaction. The problem is a two stage hybrid flow shop with blocking. We compare the firefly algorithm, bats algorithm, particles swarm optimization and local search. In addition to the care specific quantitative and qualitative parameters, we use the average deviation from the lower bound to confirm the effectiveness of the methods. RFID is among those technologies, which extended the potential of wireless identification, and represent a potential replacement to old-fashioned identification systems such as the barcode system in retail sales. This paper presents a new RFID-based cost efficient approach for pervasive retail sales. The suggested new system architecture is based on aisle-level scanning and new event management procedures at the level of RFID middleware. It also discusses the impact of deploying such systems in retail stores, and more specifically supermarkets, on the supply chain. The main goal behind this planning problem is to find the handling sequence of tasks at ship bays by a set of cranes assigned to a container vessel such that the time spent by vessels at berth is minimized. This study focused on optimizing quay crane scheduling in port container terminal to enhance their efficiency. So we provide a mixed-integer programming (MIP) model that takes into account non-crossing constraints, safety margin constraints and precedence constraints.
