ORGANIZED IMPLEMENTATION OF FREE TIME OF YOUTH: PROMOTION OF CULTURAL ACTIVITIES 组织实施青年自由时间:文化推广活动
Free time of an individual encompasses the ability to use time outside the scope of obligations and existential issues. Free time represents the ability to express and disclose the areas of interest and personality development. For young people, it represents an important period of life through which they need to be activated in productive programs that are offered within the educational process but also outside these same frameworks. In order to stimulate young people to create and participate in the provision of quality free time, important changes have to be done within the structure of the institutions themselves, and the improvement of communication between their work and the needs of the youth. The paper is focused on organized free time of youth that represents an ideal relationship in the role of mediators and creators of leisure time and the intersection of ideas, cooperation and youth development in society and the community. Openness towards youth brings new ideas that interest them and provides them with the opportunity to become the creators of their own ideas with the help of free time program leaders such as educational institutions, associations and others. A total of 103 respondents from 27 countries, mostly from the Republic of Croatia, participated in the research. The aim of the research is to gain insight into respondents’ free time, activities which we imply under free time and their inclusion and reasons for participating in free time activities. Given the fact that organized participation in free time activities does not only include individuals of younger age, e.g. 30 year-olds, but also other age groups, the research is expanded and encompasses age groups: 17-25 years, 26-35 years and 36 years and older.
5th SGEM International Multidisciplinary Scientific Conferences on SOCIAL SCIENCES and ARTS SGEM2018, Science and Arts

Kostrzewska
Art has always been and still is a mirror in which human activity is reflected. One of the basic human activities is physical activity, thanks to which humans are able to satisfy their needs, improve health and also function in society. Therefore, there are different relationships between physical activity and art. Both of them are present in the public space of cities and this aspect of connection is addressed in the article.\u0000The first research question addresses how the presence of art in public space can contribute to increasing physical activity or bring attention to the importance of its undertaking. The second question, as the reversal of the first, addresses whether physical activity - in itself or its various manifestations - can be a carrier of art. Can the manifestations of physical activity in urban public space have artistic significance and be an object of art?\u0000The research methodology was based on the analysis of case studies (both field and literature studies) of various public spaces in which art installations, sculptures and other forms of art are present. Physical activities that take place in public spaces and street sports such as skateboarding were also analysed.\u0000Research results indicate that the relation of art and physical activity in public space usually commemorate a meaningful event (e.g. art created on the occasion of the Olympic Games), activate (e.g. interactive sculptures and installations), aestheticize a particular place and surroundings, and identify users (e.g. art and sport as a determinant of belonging to a subculture). While art is clearly the carrier of knowledge and information about activities, the reverse relation (activity as art) is not so obvious because it is associated with the recognition of forms of physical activities in public space as an art in itself. This view is shared mainly by those involved representatives of urban cultures, subcultures, and enthusiasts of sports and street activities for whom the manifestations of their activity is simply art.
5th SGEM International Multidisciplinary Scientific Conferences on SOCIAL SCIENCES and ARTS SGEM2018, Science and Arts

The “Navigli” canals wooden locks, which nowadays are preserved in the National Museum of Science and Technology “Leonardo da Vinci” of Milan (MUST), are considered an excellence of 15 th century Lombard cultural heritage. A current historical analysis was mandatory given to the cultural value of the artefact. The research was carried out in close collaboration with the Department of Leonardo Arte and Science of MUST. The research’s objectives were the reconstruction of the chronological stages and the site identification of the locks. The lock device was the hydraulic tool that allowed a continuous navigation across the Milanese Navigli network and a consequent trading enhancement. In his first Milanese stay from 1482 to 1499, Leonardo da Vinci studied the Navigli hydraulic engineering and he provided technical improvements for the waterways. The most important studies on this subject are kept in the sheets of the Codex Atlanticus preserved in the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana of Milan.
5th SGEM International Multidisciplinary Scientific Conferences on SOCIAL SCIENCES and ARTS SGEM2018, Science and Arts
