The virtuality generated by cyberspace was even more evident in the current pandemic context, which caused the interruption of classroom classes and imposed a new educational model based on online education methodologies. Teachers had to adapt and reinvent their pedagogical practices and teaching methodologies in a virtual learning environment, often without guidance and without essential digital skills to promote quality learning. In this context, this chapter presents an excerpt from a bibliographical study that aimed to understand how distance education can contribute to promote the development of digital skills. Here, the results regarding the development of digital teaching skills are portrayed, with the indication of references and models that can be used to enable training proposals in this regard in addition to contributing to a reflection on the lack of institutional policies and programs for training teachers for online teaching.","PeriodicalId":264130,"journal":{"name":"Impact of Digital Transformation in Teacher Training Models","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133185053","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nonetheless, pandemic conditions made this transition towards digitalization mandatory. In education, it is expressed by emerging pedagogies dealing on remote online teaching. The use of emerging pedagogies has failed to reach pedagogical efficiency. This failure is related to causes related to teachers as well as their students. In the near and even the far future, pandemic conditions will shape the pedagogy by imposing remote online teaching. In Tunisia, in spite of the increasing digitalization of the Tunisian society, digitalization in education remains timid. But in the face of the emerging pandemic conditions, there is no choice but remote online teaching. Accordingly, to face emerging pandemic conditions, further studies would be relevant to promote digitalization.","PeriodicalId":264130,"journal":{"name":"Impact of Digital Transformation in Teacher Training Models","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131319331","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The relevance of this experience is fourfold: 1) the course delivered is on the topic of ICT; 2) the course is part of a Master's degree in education where the majority of the students was either an in-service or pre-service teacher; 3) the lecturer has a multidisciplinary background, covering computer science, media production, and education; and 4) the course was conducted online, adopting (and adapting) several well-known pedagogical practices, such as the flipped classroom, gamification, learn-by-doing, computer-supported cooperative learning (CSCL), and video-based learning. The first part of the study involves a descriptive research approach, akin to the case-study methodology, followed by a discussion and lessons learned from the experience.","PeriodicalId":264130,"journal":{"name":"Impact of Digital Transformation in Teacher Training Models","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117141649","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This framework was written and validated by peers and published in its first version. According to recommendations, the framework was improved theoretically and turned into a gamified interaction, in which people can explore the various tracks with examples and answer reflective questions about their practice. This chapter describes the application, improvement, and refining of the creative methodologies framework with the intention of supporting reflection and transforming teaching practice, making teachers more creative and improve teacher authorship. This chapter presents a second iteration of the artifact, in which it was deepened in terms of theoretical reflection and used in a teacher training course in which teachers should explore the artifact and propose a pedagogical action plan with the support of this framework.","PeriodicalId":264130,"journal":{"name":"Impact of Digital Transformation in Teacher Training Models","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126533368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
