Firstly, the image is preprocessed by denosing, edge detection, and then the circle centers are allocated by the gradient Hough transform, at last, the radius are detected by the improved one-dimensional Hough transform. The detection efficiency is enhanced by image discretization and reduced resolution ratio in the process of circle center detection, and proves that the circle center is on the gradient line of circle edge points; meanwhile, the radius detection accuracy is improved by merging the similar radius in the process of radius detection. Experimental results show that the method combined with gradient Hough transform and one-dimensional Hough transform has good reliability and is high adaptive to noise, distortion, area of incomplete, edge discontinuous. Since the language skill is the precondition for the students' academic achievements in the bilingual study, measurements are taken accordingly including setting up the study environment in English and having a new way of evaluation. The impeding factors specific for a big class are summarized and their solutions are elaborated. The data from the classes are analyzed to find the characteristic of students' bilingual learning process in a big class. Prolonging the network's lifetime by improving the efficiency of routing algorithm has always been investigated. As for the same purpose, this paper focuses on the design of a remote life alerting system and presents an improved routing algorithm used in this system. For elder people living alone or some other people in need, a wearable alerting device may be needed to transmit their emergency service request signal to the outside in some critical situations. Using the Zigbee protocol and GPRS network, we designed the system for them. After that, an improved LEACH routing algorithm (I_LEACH) based on the analysis of LEACH routing algorithm is introduced. This misconception originated from the curriculum taught at high schools, which is more application oriented in nature and does not provide a solid background in computer science concepts. In this paper, we describe a three days localized version of CS4HS workshop dedicated for female high school computer teachers held at King Saud University (KSU) female section. The workshop aims to push the computer teachers towards bridging the educational gap between high school and undergraduate computer science programs, and propose new ideas and guides for improving the current high school computer curriculum. The workshop also focuses on exposing female computer teachers on how to enrich current national curriculum with activities that are interactive, hands-on, and provide tangible skills to students. Initial results after conducting the workshop shows that the content of international CS4HS workshops can be localized to serve the needs of our national computing curriculum. Bullying is widely regarded as a particularly destructive form of aggression with harmful physical, social and emotional outcomes for all involved (bullies, victims and bystanders), with particular risks for children with special needs. The research of the last 25 years confirms its widespread nature where it is most likely in groups from which the potential victim cannot escape eg schools. In 1994 an Australian Commonwealth Government inquiry, following on from the pioneering work of research documented by Smith, et al (1999), heralded a growing awareness of the need to address the issue of school violence, particularly bullying. Internationally, researchers, including Smith (Farrington & Ttofi, M (2009) have identified the impact of intervention programs to reduce school bullying. In Australia, a nationally and internationally used, systemically based, intervention program called the P.E.A.C.E. Pack, has previously been shown in primary schools to be effective in assessing and reducing bullying in primary schools. To date the assessment has relied on written questionnaires.
