A security policy of WLAN data transmission based on logistic chaotic modulation is presented. The improved Logistic mapping can carry information in the WLAN data frame through the change of single parameter μ, which can lead to morphological changes of chaotic attractors. The receiver decision device is used to restore the original signals at the recieving end. The results of simulation show that the proposed policy can secure the data transmission effectively. In addition, throughput, time delay and other properties meet customers' needs basically. And the effectiveness and availability of this policy are also proved.","PeriodicalId":263741,"journal":{"name":"2011 Third International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115136123","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose to adopt the solutions to Hx = b (a nonhomogeneous system of linear equations) as the code words, where b is a nonzero vector and is called the code's target syndrome. We use the term \"nonhomogeneous LDPC (abbreviated as NHLDPC) codes\" to refer to the codes obtained this way. In particular, we propose a systematic NH-LDPC coding scheme. We show that the PCM needs to possess some properties for the systematic NH-LDPC encoding to work. The decoding of NHLDPC codes is almost the same as the decoding of homogeneous (i.e. conventional) LDPC codes (i.e. by sum-product algorithm and iterative decoding), only with slight modification. As an example of practical application, we propose to use the NH-LDPC codes in encrypted data transmission, where the target syndrome b is used as the secret key (available only to legitimate users) for encryption and decryption. One problem is that, even without the knowledge of b, an illegitimate user can still demodulate a codeword's systematic part, albeit with a much higher error probability than legitimate ones. To counter this problem, a descrambler is incorporated at the receiver to magnify the effect of the errors from demodulation so that the illegitimate user can not obtain intelligible information content. Simulations show that the proposed joint coding-encryption scheme works well as long as the channel signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is properly controlled to lie within a specific range.","PeriodicalId":263741,"journal":{"name":"2011 Third International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131331722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By setting simulating environment, this tool could automatically create simulation models that could be executed in executable specification tool -- ExSpect. Simulation models were integrated into Run-Time Infrastructure (RTI) by ExSpect's Component Object Model (COM) interfaces. The idea of integrative ranging and positioning was proposed in this paper. The ranging module was designed to provide not only the range estimation results to the positioning module, but also the corresponding reliability evaluation results and NLOS identification results. Three positioning algorithms that differently utilize the ranging information were proposed, including LS, WLS, and MLE. Simulation results show that WLS and MLE greatly outperform LS. Since the computation complexity of WLS is much less than MLE, WLS is more appropriate for practical application. The effects of pulse energy and NLOS ratio of anchor nodes on positioning performance were also investigated, some useful results which can guide the practical design are drawn.","PeriodicalId":263741,"journal":{"name":"2011 Third International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"111 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133244253","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Commonly, the channel is composed of a few dominant coefficients and a large part of coefficients is approximately zero or under noise floor. To exploit the sparsity of multi-path channel (MPC), there are various methods have been proposed. They are, namely, greedy algorithms, iterative algorithms, and convex program. The former two algorithms are easy to be implemented but not stable, on the other hand, the last method is stable but difficult to be implemented as practical channel estimation problems because of computational complexity. In this paper, we introduce a novel channel estimation strategy using smooth L0 (SL0) algorithm which combines stable and low complexity. Computer simulations confirm the effectiveness of the introduced algorithm comparisons with the existing methods. We also give various simulations to verify the sensing training signal method.","PeriodicalId":263741,"journal":{"name":"2011 Third International Conference on Communications and Mobile Computing","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126959843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
