So the protection of the plants are also becoming more important. The most commodious and common protection apparatus are overcurrent relays responsible for protecting power systems from impending faults. In order to employ a prosperous and proper protection of wind and solar power plants, these relays must be set precisely and well-coordinated with each other to clear the faults at the system in the shortest possible time. This paper explains the coordination of overcurrent relays to effectively attain the protection of wind and solar power plants to protect them during fault incidence. Matlab/Simulink is applied to model a wind farm and solar module and to achieve precise setting for coordination of overcurrent relays.","PeriodicalId":262622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Recent Trends in Engineering and Research","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122388949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

AbstractThe efficiency in an internal combustion engine ranges from 25% to 35%. About 40% of the overall fuel energy losses in a combustion engine are waste heat which is blown out with the exhaust gases and 30% is cooled away by the vehicle’s radiator. Even if a small fraction of the waste heat could be turned into useful energy again it would be a step in the right direction of improving fuel economy. In order to achieve uniform temperature distribution and higher interface temperature, the thermal characteristics of heat exchangers with various heat transfer enhancement features such as internal structure, material and surface area is to be considered. After designing suitable heat exchanger the thermo electric modules will be incorporated on the heat exchanger for performance analysis. In order to observe the differential change in exhaust conditions due to the addition of thermoelectric generator to the exhaust system, experiments to be conducted on the test engine. Thus this work aims to analyze the performance of thermoelectric generator under various engine operating conditions like engine speed. It would be useful to update the potential of thermoelectric generation in the automobile industry nowadays.","PeriodicalId":262622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Recent Trends in Engineering and Research","volume":"4 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120995845","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Function of sensor is to sense the information and transfer that information to all the neighbors of that node. In wireless network every node is connected to each other. The redundant communication paths exist to increase system reliability [2]. But when transfer the data through wireless sensor network the data is not partitioned according to importance all data transmission algorithm consider all data equally important so important or high priority data may be dropped by some low priority data. For resole such problem using Multi path Priority based routing in wireless sensor networks is proposed Multi path Priority based routing algorithm which divides data in accordance of importance and transfer data by using multipath. Use shortest path for transferring high priority data and may use longest path for transferring low priority data.","PeriodicalId":262622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Recent Trends in Engineering and Research","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133142789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

High percentage of losses comes under secondary distribution i.e. at 440 V and 220 V. In India the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) losses have be higher side and reached to the level around 30% which is higher compared to the accepted International norms. As the T&D loss was not able to capture all the losses in the network, concept of Aggregate Technical and Commercial (AT&C) technical losses in the system are primarily due to inadequate investments over the y for system improvement works, which has resulted in unplanned extensions of the distribution lines, overloading of the system elements like transformers and conductors. The commercial losses are mainly due to theft & pilferages. system performance to bridge the gap between demands and supply and the minimization of cost of energy have assumed higher importance for the power utilities of developing countries hence the reduction of losses has significant impact on the revenue. We can improve the system by converting Low Tension (LT) distribution network into High Tension (HT) distribution network. Converting LT lines to higher voltage consist high initial cost but after some specified time period this system is beneficial. In agricultural sector, if we go for High Voltage Distribution System (HVDS) system it connects cluster of 2 to 3 Agriculture (AGR) customers employed a small distribution transformer of capacity 7.5 KVA, 10 KVA, 15 KVA, 20 KVA, 25 KVA and through almost negligible LT distribution lines. In HVDS there are less distribution losses due to minimum length of distribution line, high quality of power supply with no voltage drop. Installation of additional distribution transformers of low capacity at each consume premises instead of cluster formation will decrease the losses.","PeriodicalId":262622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Recent Trends in Engineering and Research","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126715889","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
