The characteristics of traditional clothes patterns are so diverse that it requires constant methods and algorithms to carry out this research. In addition, the clothes pattern contains the characteristics of texture and shape. Traditional clothes can only have 1 pattern and some clothes have more than 2 patterns. For this reason, traditional clothes pattern retrieval methods and algorithms are needed that can increase the accuracy in clothes pattern retrieval.. In this study for feature extraction using VGG 19 with 4 distance metrics models, namely Manhattan, Euclidean, Chebyshev and Minkowski order 3. The average accuracy of retrieval of 74 traditional clothes patterns from 22 provinces is the highest in the Manhattan model with an average value of 87.04%, followed by the Euclidean model of 86.41%, Minkowski of 85.26% and the Chebyshev model with an average value of 66.07%. Even in Traditional clothes patterns can be recognized up to 100% by Manhattan and Euclidean methods. However, this study has not been able to overcome the Invariant dilemma of traditional clothes. For this reason, the continuation of this research still needs to be carried out.","PeriodicalId":262412,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Computing (ICOCO)","volume":"485 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116539098","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Improper handling of such equipment, abrupt surges, overloading, loose connections and negligence in maintenance not only result in electricity short falls and power losses but also deteriorates the remaining useful life of the equipment. The scenario emphasizes the importance of asset management for power devices in order to utilize equipment up till their maximum service life. Indication and identification of fault and its location and intensity, prior to the occurrence of fault, is a proactive approach for fault avoidance and monitoring of remaining useful life. Over the years, statistical approaches have been used for the prediction and forecasting. The aim of this study is to investigate computationally intelligent techniques suitable for the prognosis of remaining useful life of power devices. This paper provides state-of-the-art review of some selected ML techniques in connection with prognostics relevance, and discusses the significant features connected with modeling development for prognostics techniques. The paper also discusses the strength and limitations of the selected ML techniques compared with other available dynamic modeling approaches.","PeriodicalId":262412,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Computing (ICOCO)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125033394","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The number of online shopping rocketed due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and movement control order (MCO) enforced by the Malaysian government. The current situation contributes to the volume of the parcel that needs to be delivered by delivery companies in Malaysia. The case of unattended parcel delivery, parcel lost, and failed delivery attempts had caused a lot of trouble to the household and the delivery company. It costs time and money because the household lost their valuable parcel, and the delivery company needs to reschedule the delivery. ParcelRestBox aims to overcome these issues by accepting parcels delivered without requiring the recipient to be present and send a delivery notification to the household to alert parcel delivered. This paper discusses on the design and the development of the ParcelRestBox prototype towards the actual development of this system. The ParcelRestBox development is significant to households or recipients, delivery companies, and property developers. ParcelRestBox consists of a ParcelRestBox device with NodeMCU V3 ESP8266 microcontroller, infrared sensor, and Android mobile application. The Mobile Application Development Life Cycle (MADLC) methodology is adopted as a guideline in the project development. The ParcelRestBox mobile application works as an interface for the recipient to interact with the ParcelRestBox device. Every parcel delivery will be detected by the ParcelRestBox device, and the notification will be sent to ParcelRestBox mobile application to alert the user. Thus, this ParcelRestBox system is beneficial if it can be used by the household or adopted by property developer to equip newly developed property in smart city area in Malaysia.","PeriodicalId":262412,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Computing (ICOCO)","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116329400","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the assortment of heterogeneous content rises in range and number, its content delivery also expands to vehicles and their onboard users, forcing the VANET paradigm to evolve from delivering simple safety and warning messages to unconventional applications with content delivery necessities. Information, advertisement, and entertainment applications enrich its content with various types of media which in turn, produce large content and are challenging many aspects of VANET capabilities. One of the issues of content delivery in VANET involves its V2R communication that will be congested due to the high density of vehicles, especially in an urban scenario, hence delay the transmission of the content delivery. VANET performance was simulated and analyzed based on content delivery services for V2R communication with several traffic congestion scenarios in urban mobility environment centered to matrices such as latency, packet loss, network throughput, etc. The results from the experiments determined that the content of smaller packet size is better than large packet size with low vehicle density as it impacts the content delivery for V2R communication by having low packet loss and network latency.","PeriodicalId":262412,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Computing (ICOCO)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125360025","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the advent of blockchain technology, the issue of trust has become a more important topic to mankind. This revolutionary change in the technological context enables new forms of human, social, economic, and humane interactions. It also empowers individuals to leverage the value of their participation. The subversive nature of blockchain challenges the existing notion of trust, which is the basis of our research. This interpretive study based on interview data, using an inductive process of theory generation revealed three interconnected trusting-beliefs: Technical features, Functionality, and Valuableness as the dimensions of trust in blockchain. There is a remarkable similitude between the definitions of these dimensions and the conventional trusting beliefs. However, the latter is more expansive; they are explicitly infused and extended to delineate trust dimensions of blockchain. Furthermore, this research highlights a close bond between the trusting-beliefs and the characteristics of blockchain.","PeriodicalId":262412,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Computing (ICOCO)","volume":"314 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125975926","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The developers need to efficiently discover initial candidates before simulation, actual synthesis, optimization, and evaluation. To meet their needs, we have developed CI (Chemicals Informatics) to efficiently discover potential candidates of compounds or composites based on large number of public literatures. Our system currently has the data of 117M existing compounds, and 61 properties extracted by analyzing a public chemical database with the linked worldwide 33M papers and 30M patents in addition to 11M new structures generated based on existing compounds. The compounds are shown as vectors including 41 organic and 70 inorganic features. The properties are extracted from literatures using rule-based NLP (Natural Language Processing). Our system also made evolve to predicts 61 properties by each space of compound crossover for composite in addition to neighbor and structural crossover for compound written in past paper. This paper further shows users can extract structural factors and highly probable combinations of compounds that contribute to good properties. Moreover, they can find potential combinations without patents of aimed property from 128M to the fourth power. As the actual novel use case, we explored structural factors and highly probable new combinations for water repellent composites. CI could extract structural factors that contributed to good properties and highly probable combinations of compounds for composite that contributed to contact angle of 160 degree.","PeriodicalId":262412,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Computing (ICOCO)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127700660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The expansion of opportunities for e-learning influenced by COVID-19 further strengthened this importance. Despite the existence of international standards such as SCORM, the distribution and utilization of e-learning teaching materials has not progressed as expected. Due to the heavy burdens on authors to create standards-compliant teaching materials, non-compliant teaching materials continue to be used individually only around authors. This problem also makes it difficult for users to obtain the required teaching materials. In this research, we have been working on the development of methods for generating a repository of teaching materials including latent ones that do not conform to the standard. To achieve this goal, we initially developed methods for automatically collecting e-learning materials from the Web. We also developed methods for diagnosing the standards-compliance status of teaching materials. For non-compliant teaching materials, we extract the lacking factors for compliance with the standards and accumulate them in the repository together with the outline and location of the teaching materials. This repository enables to provide the hints that supports the creation of compliant teaching materials by authors. This paper mainly describes the methods for diagnosing the standards-compliance situation of teaching materials. Finally, an experiment on the diagnosis of standards-compliance is described and the validity of our methods is discussed on the basis of the results.","PeriodicalId":262412,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Computing (ICOCO)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127469494","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Continuous increased of legal matters handled by Legal Advisor Office (LAO) involving various departments within UiTM system has resulted more physical space required to store office files; more papers consumed to print out and photocopy legal documents; and more times spent by officers to draft, vet, and communicate with the clients and stakeholders. This paper presents the development process of the first phase of a web-based system known as the Networked Integrated Legal Affairs Management System (NILAMs) for the LAO of Universiti Teknologi MARA. NILAMs has been developed to address the shortfalls of existing web-based legal affairs management system that are not suitable for LAO of public universities. NILAMs development adopts a hybrid Agile-Waterfall approach which consists of five main stages namely; construction of a conceptual model, identifying the stakeholders' requirements, design, construction and testing the system. From the results of a guided User Acceptance Test (UAT), the system is proven to be functioning with very little bugs detected and only minor Change of Request (CR) suggested by the users. Due to the similarities in organisational structure, functions, and responsibilities, NILAMs is suitable for adoption by the LAO of other public universities, ministries and government agencies in Malaysia who encounter similar problems.","PeriodicalId":262412,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Computing (ICOCO)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125956379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, some organizations related to cyber security, such as ISACs, set up information-sharing schemes. These schemes provide cyber threat information (IP addresses or domains about malicious hosts) to critical infrastructure companies. When a company receives the shared information called indicators, it checks whether its employees' computers are communicating to the mentioned malicious hosts or not. If the communication to malicious hosts is found, it should be blocked to prevent further damage. Usually, this security workflow (receiving indicators, checking communication, and blocking malicious communication) is often done manually. Thus, the workload of the procedure becomes heavier as the number of indicators increases. In this paper, we propose an automated system for efficient indicator handling by combining Software Defined Networking (SDN) and STIX. When the system receives indicators in STIX format, it parses them and changes network configuration dynamically to block communication to malicious hosts. We also compare the required time for handling indicators manually and by using the proposed automated system to show the system's efficiency.","PeriodicalId":262412,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Computing (ICOCO)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123386201","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
