In this paper, we propose a cost effective EPON blade based on ATCA system which can provide support for multi-protocol interfaces at rates as high as 40 Gbps. ATCA system also provides high levels of modularity and configurability, allowing a range of vendors to drive competitive solutions to market. In this paper, we use Zone3 backplane as well as Zone2 backplane to provide eight EPON links in a standard I/O blade. Since the proposed EPON blade is designed to be compatible with an ATCA system, it is easy to integrate a high performance system with a reduced time and low costs.","PeriodicalId":259368,"journal":{"name":"COIN-NGNCON 2006 - The Joint International Conference on Optical Internet and Next Generation Network","volume":" 119","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132041098","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For including the aspect of system operation in the performance index, we define a system cost function as 'GAIN' with the terms 'reward' and 'penalty' respectively. Thus we find the allocation set which maximizes the system GAIN and the service guaranteed conditioning. However, MANET has many problems to connect to Internet as a stand-alone network. The most of existing solutions for these problems usually have serious overheads from caused by duplicated message broadcastings. In this paper, we propose a method to support internetworking connection between MANET and Internet with short hand-off delay of less bandwidth. We propose a new efficient dynamic advertisement method for reducing the duplicated control messages. We implement it and use ns2 to compare the proposed approach with the existing solutions in terms of the overhead and throughput for packet transmission.","PeriodicalId":259368,"journal":{"name":"COIN-NGNCON 2006 - The Joint International Conference on Optical Internet and Next Generation Network","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132883816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This analysis characterizes the Frame bursting traffic behavior and performance measurement, shows its implications for future research issues.FB Mechanism improves the performance of GbE CSMA/CD networks when transmitting short frames by reducing the Extension Field (EF) overhead, and tries to accord the controversy over the cross-layer (Layer2/Layer3) scheme. We simulate about 1 Tera-packets by random generation, let the packet pass through form non-FB domain to FB domain, observe that FB behavior like the burst per 100 packets (BPHP), packet per burst(PPB) and it's distribution, the burst length in different Input Rate, and Packet Length Distribution Input. We find that there is a linear relationship between Input Rate and the burst behavior. As for the burst behavior is highly dynamic complex in variable Packet Length Distribution types.","PeriodicalId":259368,"journal":{"name":"COIN-NGNCON 2006 - The Joint International Conference on Optical Internet and Next Generation Network","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132739502","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
