The four-channel switched filter bank module operating in the frequency range of 11~20 GHz has been developed using six single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switching networks, and four fixed five-pole edge-coupled bandpass filters, which is modified from the typical edge-coupled microstrip bandpass filter in the input and output (I/O) feeders to achieve the better stopband performance. In this work, a transformer-type Wilkinson power splitter was developed for a RF power distribution network, which is based on lumped parameters components. The testing results displayed that the power splitter showed highly RF characteristics including the insert loss is less than 1.3 dB, the amplitude and phase imbalance between the two output ports is less than plusmn0.13 dB and 5deg, and the isolation between the two output ports is less than -15 dB. The modified stepped impedance resonator can not only generate multiple-resonant peaks within the UWB passband but also easily realize a tight coupling with the feed-lines to realize a wide passband. The asymmetrical interdigital feed-lines can generate a notched band at 5.98 GHz with no significant influence on the passband performances. Two inductive perturbation metal cylinders are introduced into the cavity to tune the resonant frequencies, bandwidth and out-of-band rejection. One prototype was fabricated and measured, good agreement between the measured and simulated results are observed. By introducing parallel resonators in a rectangular waveguide using short-circuited stubs, a compact low-pass filter with a very sharp out-of-band rejection is realized. An eleven-element Ku-band low-pass filter is designed and fabricated using a WR-75 waveguide. The measurement results show it has a low insertion loss of less than 0.3 dB at the pass band and a high attenuation slope of 70 dB/GHz. In order to reduce an intrinsic circuit area of the hybrid coupler, a compact meandered line configuration and a new multi-layer structure design have been adopted. The configuration and structural dimensions of the multi-layer structure were designed and investigated through detailed 3-D electro-magnetic simulations. The measured insertion loss is less than 0.4 dB, and the phase imbalance is less than 3 degree with the frequency range from 380 MHz to 520 MHz.
