To cater the increasing load demand the distribution systems are forced to operate nearer to their voltage stability limits because lower voltage stability will restrict the power that can be supplied to the distribution systems. In this paper a simple and efficient method is proposed to identify the buses which are prone to voltage instability based on reactive power sensitivity analysis. An algorithm is developed for optimal location of SVC to improve the voltage profile of the system. The proposed method embedded with SVC is tested on 15 bus and 28 bus radial rural electrification networks. Results obtained from the proposed technique are compared with existing voltage stability index and found to be better.","PeriodicalId":254272,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Computer, and Optimization Techniques (ICEECCOT)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133528371","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The new age technology brought different profiles of engine output, that is normal, economy and sports. These profiles brought better performance, drivability and safety. Now that humans want to wander off into different terrains, drive on icy roads, snow and even take the vehicle to beaches and deserts, there came a requirement to provide the best performance in those cases too. Then came the various profiles for different terrains such as snow, sand and mud. There are lots of work around to attain better drivability, safety and performance in these terrains, we have to tackle the issue through the Engine control unit (ECU) to attain the better control on the torque output.","PeriodicalId":254272,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Computer, and Optimization Techniques (ICEECCOT)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115757639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The circuit that needs to be tested is called circuit under test (CUT). If testing is done manually testing phase becomes more crucial one which consumes maximum amount of time and also not economically feasible when compared to the any other phase while fabricating the device or IC to overcome this problem BIST is used. This paper discusses design and implementation of BIST for testing the four bit combinational logic circuit and also the calculation golden signature value. The system consists of LFSR (Linear Feedback Shift Register), CUT (Circuit under Test), signature analyzer and a comparator. LFSR is a pattern generator which generates 2n-1 combinations of test patterns, which are then applied to the CUT at the negative rising edge of the CLK. The output of the CUT is applied to the signature analyzer at positive edge of CLK1. Comparator compares the output of the signature analyzer with the golden signature value. If the output of comparator is equal to one, it implies that CUT is fault free if not there is fault present in CUT. Signature analyzer generates two distinct signature values for fault free CUT and faulty CUT.","PeriodicalId":254272,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Computer, and Optimization Techniques (ICEECCOT)","volume":"148 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123209613","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Automatic tree detection in urban areas using traditional classification techniques remains a very difficult task. To classify urban trees as park, roadside, and institutional-residential trees a novel three-level (pixel-object-patch) framework for semantic classification of urban trees has been proposed. The classification strategy should exploit object features, spectral response, texture, size, geometry which are used to differentiate between vegetation types based on patterns that they possess. Semantic classification is carried out by extracting green channel initially, to distinguish between vegetation and non-vegetation at the pixel level. Next, vegetation-type classification determines ground vegetation and tree vegetation at the object level by performing feature extraction. Lastly at the patch level, considering difference between spectral and textural features, and then analyzing with trained satellite images using SVM and KNN will lead to urban tree classification as park, roadside, and institutional-residential trees. The satellite images of Bengaluru city had been considered to demonstrate the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed method. The results reveal that the proposed method can achieve a satisfactory performance, with the overall accuracy reaching 94%","PeriodicalId":254272,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Computer, and Optimization Techniques (ICEECCOT)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123423161","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Low resource conditions such as absence of external linguistic resources and gazetteers in Kannada and other Dravidian languages pose obstacles to the NERC task. LSTM networks, with their capability of learning long-term dependencies, present an effective solution to this task without the need of a deeper understanding of the semantics of the language. This paper describes a novel supervised machine learning model for Kannada NERC using Bidirectional LSTM networks. The network model is trained and validated on a manually annotated corpus, and gives encouraging results in terms of various evaluation metrics.","PeriodicalId":254272,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Computer, and Optimization Techniques (ICEECCOT)","volume":"321 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126026285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
