The method employed in presenting the results made use of strict logarithmic convexity of a function and classical mean value theorem involving the q-analogue of the psi function. One of the most popular and widely used criteria is the conditional Lyapunov exponents, which constitute average measurements of expansion or shrinkage of small displacements along the synchronized trajectory. The Lyapunov characteristic exponents play a crucial role in the description of the behaviour of dynamical systems as they can be used to analyse the stability limit sets and to check sensitive dependence on initial conditions, that is, the presence of chaotic attractors. In this paper, Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequalities (LMI) are employed to design control functions for the respective, control, and synchronization of the chaotic and hyperchaotic finance systems. The designed linear matrix inequalities (LMI) nonlinear controllers are capable of stabilizing the chaotic and hyperchaotic finance systems at any position as well as controlling it to track any trajectory that is a smooth function of time. The respective chaotic attractors were found to have a moderate value of the largest Lyapunov exponents (0.874959 s^(-1) and 0.650847 s^(-1)) with associated (Lyapunov) dimensions of 1.00 and 2.00 for the chaotic and hyperchaotic finance systems respectively. Based on Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequalities (LMI), some necessary and sufficient criteria for stable synchronous behaviour are obtained and an exact analytic estimate of the threshold coupling, k_th, for complete chaos synchronization is derived. Finally, numerical simulation results are presented to validate the feasibility of the theoretical analysis.","PeriodicalId":253947,"journal":{"name":"Applied Journal of Physical Science","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117330010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A young academic institution with a measurable growing population is seriously concerned with the hygienic situation within its environment, especially water quantity and quality. The geophysical method was employed to determine the subsurface groundwater potentials via vertical electrical sounding (VES) using the Schlumberger array. Ten (10) water samples were collected from different locations within the study area and analyzed for physiochemical parameters and trace metals using standard procedure. Water quality index (WQI), exceedance, and human health risk index were determined. All parameters estimated were below the WHO permissible limits except the pH and iron concentration. WQI values of the ten collected water samples reflected 100% excellent grade for drinking. Chronic dietary intake (CDI) is in the order of Fe >Zn > Cu for both children and adults. The VES (9 location points were studied) data revealed four to five geo-electric layers which corresponded to the topsoil, lateritic clay, weathered layer, fractured basement, and fresh basement with thickness ranges of 0.5 to 39.6 m, while resistivity values vary from 27.5 to 5432.6 Ωm. The study observed and recommended that boreholes could be sunk at VES 1, 6, and 7 at depths between 26.1 to 39.6 m for exploitation of good quality water along with continuous monitoring of groundwater quality to maintain the good water quality area, hence the safety of the environment.","PeriodicalId":253947,"journal":{"name":"Applied Journal of Physical Science","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125884692","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study area, Ririwai is situated along Kano, in the Northwestern part of Nigeria, both qualitative and quantitative interpretation techniques were employed in this study. This procedure was carefully undertaken by employing enhancement filters; vertical derivative, upward continuation, analytical signal amplitude processing, and quantitative approaches such as Euler 3D deconvolution and an apparent susceptibility filter to help further give solutions for depth estimates and magnetization. The Euler deconvolution was able to show that the solution plotted clustered around the region where the geological structures are located with average depths range of <139.8 to >904.5 m, with very few solutions having depths less than 200 m, the most prominent structure particularly the Ririwai ring complex have a depth range of 182.9 to 301.5 m. The magnetic susceptibility reading obtained shows that the area is composed of rocks high in magnetic minerals such as magnetite along the western end of the area, it is also flanked by medium to high magnetic values around the central parts with only regions of low magnetic values predominantly along the Ririwai complex and its adjoining outcrops towards the eastern half of the area under study.","PeriodicalId":253947,"journal":{"name":"Applied Journal of Physical Science","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132607969","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The wave function is written as a bounded sum of elements of a complete basis with these polynomials as expansion coefficients. By finding the asymptotic of these Wilson – Racah polynomials, the physical properties of the corresponding system (wave function, bound state energy spectrum and/or scattering phase shift) was obtained. Wilson – Racah quantum system was applied to determine the thermodynamics and atomic properties of Hydrogen atom and diatomic molecules. All properties of associated physical systems are obtained directly and simply from the asymptotic of the associated orthogonal polynomials. This new model, gives good an approximate prediction of the Hydrogen atom energy with an estimated average error of 0.125%. The proposed procedure merely relies on experimental values of five molecular constants. The average relative percentage deviations of the thermodynamic properties’ functions Q, U, C, S and F which are 2.42, 0.45, 0.30, 1.23 and 1.50% satisfied the experimental finding as ascertained. These represent satisfactory compromise between accuracy and rapid computations.","PeriodicalId":253947,"journal":{"name":"Applied Journal of Physical Science","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115890260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The combination of the chosen Coulomb-type potentials and the magnetic field formed the generalized potentials which were put into the time independent radial Schrodinger equation and solution for the energy eigenvalues obtained using the Phase – Integral model. Four thermodynamic functions were considered and the results showed that an increase in the reduced parameters and magnetic field brings about a depreciation of the generalized potentials and the thermodynamic functions as well as the removal of degeneracy and integer decrease in the energy eigenvalues. The study also showed the change of the property of entropy in the classical domain as it enters the quantum mechanical system.","PeriodicalId":253947,"journal":{"name":"Applied Journal of Physical Science","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117076321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study deals with the hybridization of epoxy composite with different organic materials. Five diffident composites were produced with the hybridization of matrix, sawdust (SD), raffia palm fibre (RPF), oil bean pod filler (OBPF) and calcium carbonate (CaCO3) mixed at different volume. The composite samples were produced through the hand layup method, and their tensile and flexural properties, determined in accordance to ASTM International procedures. Results obtained from the laboratory tests indicated that the reinforcement materials greatly influenced the mechanical properties of the composite samples. The result revealed that the hybrid composite of SD, CaCO3 and RPF had the best, compared to the other composite with different reinforcement materials. Similarly, it was observed that the composite produced with SD, OBPF and RPF had better tensile and flexural properties as compared to the composite reinforced with SD and CaCO3. This study affirmed that organic materials can be used to replace inorganic material (CaCO3), hence the actualization of green composite is practically feasible","PeriodicalId":253947,"journal":{"name":"Applied Journal of Physical Science","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127371697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The rapid demand for widespread multimedia services notwithstanding the deployment of 4G in Lagos, Nigeria and the urgent need to upgrade to 5G networks with downlink and uplink data capacities of not less than 300 and 60 Mbps, respectively for at least 95% penetration rate at any instantaneous time; there is a possibility of experiencing crosstalk and adjacent inter-cell interference within the receiving antennas. 5G inter-cell interference prediction scheme that employs LTE performance index using locally sourced data from Huawei Nigeria limited was presented. The performances of the currently deployed LTE network were evaluated by employing performance metrics such as uplink and downlink capacities and recommending a possible inter-cell interference mitigation technique to be implemented in the deployment of 5G network in Lagos. The identified key performance metrics used include over the air emulation, carrier to interference plus noise ratio, peak RLC throughput, coverage probability, and the map-based model. Hence, ICIC static coordination algorithm, which comprise NOICIC, Hard FFR, PFR, SFR and SFFR were analyzed. With static ICIC algorithm, the coverage probability was 78% for receiving more than 20 kbps, with cell-edge users using resources of centre-users and with edge-users of neighbouring cells using different resource block; therefore reducing interference and consequently increasing throughput when there is static ICIC coordination. Implementing the static ICIC schemes on the 5G network when deployed in Lagos will improve the average downlink throughput over what is currently attainable with the 4G network in use at the moment","PeriodicalId":253947,"journal":{"name":"Applied Journal of Physical Science","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130655726","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The concretes were produced with the concrete mix ratio of 1:2:4, while water to cement (w/c) ratios of 0.35, 0.4, 0.45, 0.5 and 0.55 were adopted. Different concrete mixtures were produced using two chemical admixtures (hydroxycarboxylic acid and MasterRheobuild 1100) applied at the rate of 1.3% (weight of the cement), during the production process. Laboratory results of the fine aggregate used for the concrete production showed that it was well graded met international standards. All the concretes were produced and tested in accordance to American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard procedures. Results indicated that the concrete produced with the chemical admixtures showed better concrete performances both in the fresh and hardened state. After 28 days of casting, concrete produced with MasterRheobuild 1100 admixture had the best compressive strength (32 MPa); compared with the compressive strength of the concrete produced with the hydroxycarboxylic acid admixture (28 MPa), and the control concrete samples that had compressive strength of 25 MPa. In addition, the fresh concrete produced with chemical admixtures gave a better slump than the fresh concrete produced without any chemical admixture. Likewise, hydroxycarboxylic acid admixture performs better among the two admixtures used, given a more linear relationship between the slump and water/cement ratio. These results showed the importance of chemical admixtures when higher compressive strength becomes a vital factor in structural constructions","PeriodicalId":253947,"journal":{"name":"Applied Journal of Physical Science","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132437556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
