These modeling techniques are mandatory to use when designing advanced smart applications based on embedded devices. The paper proposes an innovative approach to accurately models the operations of the STM32 analog converter peripheral for both simulation purpose and to generate an optimized code that integrates on the Low-Level STM32 firmware driver. A new Simulink toolbox has been developed to replicate the ADC functions. Finally, an example has been presented to show the effectiveness of this new modeling approach.","PeriodicalId":253233,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th IEEE Congress on Information Science and Technology (CiSt)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131348684","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several mobile applications have been proposed, in particular to help limit or even stop the spread of the virus. In this paper, we propose a mobile data collection application, LISUNGIcovid19. This application has been built on the basis of the Open Data Kit (ODK) platform. The proposed solution offers both a mobile application and a data server to store, visualize and analyze the collected data. Although there are several applications created in this context of covid-19 such as STOPcovid or Wiqaytna, our solution is distinguished by the rapid adaptation of its data collection form according to the evolution of lockdown exit or renewed lockdown strategy adopted by the authorities. It will help decision-makers in the evaluation of their strategy and possibly the planning of lockdown exit and thus ensure a good management of the way out of this health crisis. The data collected by LISUNGIcovid19, as well as the analysis it proposes of this data, will enable the competent authorities to take the decision to quarantine, or isolate a city, a neighborhood or a group of individuals; or to start planning a progressive lockdown exit or even a new social isolation if necessary. The case study carried out in Morocco to test LISUNGIcovid19 helped to understand the classification of the cities of Casablanca, Rabat and Salé in zone 2 during the first phase of lockdown exit and then in zone 1 during its second phase; while the cities of Kenitra and Marrakech remained in zone 2 during both phases.","PeriodicalId":253233,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th IEEE Congress on Information Science and Technology (CiSt)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116264834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on this observation, and with the goal of personalizing the learning process by recommending the most appropriate teaching resources to learners, we propose a model for analyzing learners' searches to determine the relevant words that reflect their interests, with the aim of enriching their profiles. Our approach is to collect the descriptions of the links returned by the search engine, which will constitute a corpus on which we will apply the TF-IDF (term frequency-inverse document frequency) method to determine the relevant words. We will then use the Word2vec technique to determine words similar to these relevant words in the description of internal educational resources, so that we can recommend those that best correspond to the learner's needs. We developed a platform and launched an experiment with a group of real students. The data generated will be analyzed and the results will allow us to evaluate our approach and also to see areas for improvement.","PeriodicalId":253233,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th IEEE Congress on Information Science and Technology (CiSt)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122295287","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fraud detection is one of these subfields where these applications managed to save billions of dollars every year. However, one weakness of these models is that we cannot understand what rules they follow to make their decisions. This paper aims to introduce a novel deep learning approach to detect fraud in e-commerce, taking into consideration the problem mentioned above by extracting if-then rules using CRED algorithm (a Continuous/discrete Rule Extractor via Decision tree induction) that employs decision trees to extract these rules. Besides using feature aggregation and re-sampling method on two highly imbalanced data-sets, we conducted a comparative study with previous work. The results show that our model gives better performance.","PeriodicalId":253233,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th IEEE Congress on Information Science and Technology (CiSt)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124605233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Framework allows the intelligent generation of sentences containing forms of dyslexia that are susceptible to being mispronounced by the child. The Framework also extracts the forms of dyslexia present in a sentence and evaluates the patient's achievements. We exploit the innovative techniques of knowledge representation and parallel processing of big data to ensure the efficiency and speed necessary for such real time applications. The Framework architecture is based on Apache HDFS, Apache SPARK and HBase. Our system is designed to be easily integrated into mobile games and applications. Indeed, better representation would allow them, among others, to improve knowledge and to take the best decisions regarding these generally poorly identified infrastructures. The heterogeneity of data and the multiplicity of data models representing sewerage networks, often specific to each operator, as well as the imperfections associated with both the available data and those collected from different sources, generate complexity in terms of on-the-field interventions' efficiency. They also highlight the need for aggregation (unification), control and analysis. The main objective of our work is to merge multi-source data to obtain more precise and complete digital maps of sewerage networks. In this paper, we propose a generic data modelling for data fusion purposes taking into consideration the uncertainty aspects related to the collected data by allowing a confidence value for each data source and for each single data provided by a source.","PeriodicalId":253233,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th IEEE Congress on Information Science and Technology (CiSt)","volume":"894 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131985522","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A series of images was taken at different wavelengths of the upper part of the stele S.6145, coming from the archaeological site of Deir El-Medina (Egypt) and currently stored at the Egyptian Museum of Turin (Italy). The analysis of the single images did not allow retrieving the information on the hieroglyphic text. However, the application of Blind Source Separation algorithms allowed to reveal the hidden pattern in a fast and highly efficient way, restoring the correct readability and the value of the artwork itself.","PeriodicalId":253233,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th IEEE Congress on Information Science and Technology (CiSt)","volume":"86 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127441328","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The spectrum ranges from the analyses of the effects of games on the propensity to violence, well-being or on the the learning process. Previous works largely concluded positive effects of games on the learning behaviour, particularly at the motivational level. However, the analysis has mainly focused on specially designed educational games, not on games from the entertainment sector that are established on the market. Here, we address this gap by identifying suitable games and examining them for intersections with a catalogue of economical learning objectives. For this purpose, this catalogue is transformed into an adapted criteria catalogue and examined on the basis of five selected games. The main findings include that on average there is a 56% thematic overlap between the learning objectives catalogue, while 18% of the objectives were explained in a way that an abstracted application is possible even outside the gaming environment. Those findings highlight the potential value of these games for an application within the educational sector while suggesting the necessity for adjustments and additions to better address the objectives.","PeriodicalId":253233,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th IEEE Congress on Information Science and Technology (CiSt)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130817965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
