This chapter focuses on such systems. It introduces the general field of Computer-Assisted Medical Interventions, its aims, its different components and describes the place of robots in that context. The evolutions in terms of general design and control paradigms in the development of medical robots are presented and issues specific to that application domain are discussed. A view of existing systems, on-going developments and future trends is given. A case-study is detailed. Other types of robotic help in the medical environment (such as for assisting a handicapped person, for rehabilitation of a patient or for replacement of some damaged/suppressed limbs or organs) are out of the scope of this chapter. 82.","PeriodicalId":252672,"journal":{"name":"On Job, Volume 1","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125152718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bringelly Shale
{"title":"CHAPTER 3","authors":"Bringelly Shale","doi":"10.2307/j.ctvqmp33c.10","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2307/j.ctvqmp33c.10","url":null,"abstract":"The objectives of this chapter are to present details of the Bringelly shale from the four sites used in this study. This includes the location of the sites, their lithology and the techniques of sampling from these sites. An examination of the mineralogy and micro-structure of Bringelly shale is also included. These were investigated using a variety of techniques including x-ray diffraction, optical microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. Laboratory characterisation studies of this shale have been limited to the claystone-siltstone materials which are the predominant lithology in Bringelly shale. Outcomes of the study in this chapter will be linked to the engineering and physical properties of Bringelly shale in the following chapters.","PeriodicalId":252672,"journal":{"name":"On Job, Volume 1","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123299129","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
