The effect of the added two general parameters is studied, which offers the option of having three different maps. The dynamic behavior of the vertical, zooming and the general map is analyzed. The study of the fixed points, stability ranges and bifurcation diagram of the delayed logistic map at hand is detailed in this work. The flow of the system behavior from stability to chaos is also presented with its transient response as well as its phase plane portraits. Moreover, using the general parameters, the option of designing any specific map is validated by some design examples, which makes it more optimal for any specific applications. The added general parameters offer increased randomness with controllability of the map design, making it more suitable for pseudo-random sequence generators which are used in image encryption algorithms and in secure communication transfer.","PeriodicalId":251893,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science and Technology (TICST)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130542931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In our research, the system was designed when radar or other sensing devices could not be used. For example, GPS-based guiding would be in effective in warfare. The procedure relies on a camera and an orientation sensor, combined with existing lane detection algorithms, etc. Novelties are among how to interpret the acquired data from detection to suit with a military research institute's demand/specification on the automatic landing task. UAVs have to navigate using stripes of runway for landing using only computer vision. Edge detection and Hough line transform are key algorithms for vision step. Then geometrical interpretation would be shown : stressing on relationship between a center line of runway and the plane. The experiment shows detection from a UAV and runway positioning in real time.","PeriodicalId":251893,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science and Technology (TICST)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116709660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two general parameters a and b are added to the classical fractional logistic equation. The effect of such parameters on the map is studied explicitly, in combination with the fractional order parameter α, which offers an extra degree of freedom increasing the design flexibility and adding more controllability on the design. The vertical and the zooming map are two special maps that arise as a result of the added parameters. Moreover, different design problems are offered in this work, as a resultant of the control of all these parameters at hand. This shows that any application specific map can be designed, highlighting the flexibility and integrity of the design. The combination of the added extra parameters a and b in addition to the system parameter ρ and the initial condition x0, as well as the fractional order parameter α makes the proposed generalized fractional logistic map the most favorable in constructing more efficient encryption keys.","PeriodicalId":251893,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science and Technology (TICST)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133262394","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has received increased attention and is lauded as the enabler for a host of new services and capabilities [4]. A better user experience for browsing videos on the limited and heterogeneous screen sizes requires streaming of an arbitrary region of interest (ROI) from a high resolution video. It is essential to support cropping and zooming within a video stream which allows the users to view a cropped ROI at a high resolution, in effect, magnifying the ROI. This paper thesis explores two methods for ROI-based streaming, referring to them as tiled encoding which partitions video frames into grid of tiles and encodes each tile as an independently decodable stream and partial decoding where only the ROI and dependence area are decoded. Apart from these, slice structure dependency on tiled encoding was performed for further bandwidth efficiency. These two methods were evaluated in terms of bandwidth efficiency, storage requirements, and computational costs under different video encoding parameters. HM15.0 version reference software for HEVC was used [8]. Partial decoding results show that the decoding calculation cost was reduced by 40-55% for 32 buffered luma pixels around ROI. Tiled encoding results show optimal decoding calculation cost and bandwidth efficiency for a tile size of 16-16 pixels. Simulation results show that larger tiles significantly improve compression efficiency in tiled encoding, but it would lead to higher bandwidth while a larger slice size increases the bandwidth efficiency (reduces transmission overhead) but would result in lower compression. The results show that 1460 bytes slice structure improved bandwidth efficiency than 64 bytes slice structure.","PeriodicalId":251893,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Science and Technology (TICST)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121528075","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
