Mobile equipment operating based on ROS can monitor the environment around the equipment using lidar and cameras. When applying the loop closing technique to determine the starting position in this monitoring process, the existing method has a problem of low accuracy because the closing operation occurs only when there are feature points on the image. In this paper, to solve this problem, we designed a system that increases the accuracy of loop closing work by providing location information by mounting a UWB tag on a mobile device. In addition, the accuracy of the UWB-based indoor positioning system was evaluated through experiments, and it was verified that it could be used for loop closing techniques.","PeriodicalId":249252,"journal":{"name":"Korean Institute of Smart Media","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126150674","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, spiking neural networks applied to neuromorphic hardware are difficult for IoT developers to comprehend due to their complex structures and various hyper-parameters. In this paper, we propose a method for generating spiking neural network (SNN) models that satisfy user performance requirements while considering the constraints of neuromorphic hardware. Our proposed method utilizes previously trained models from pre-processed data to find optimal SNN model parameters from profiling data. Comparing our method to a naive search method, both methods satisfy user requirements, but our proposed method shows better performance in terms of runtime. Additionally, even if the constraints of new hardware are not clearly known, the proposed method can provide high scalability by utilizing the profiled data of the hardware.","PeriodicalId":249252,"journal":{"name":"Korean Institute of Smart Media","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123568157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hyperledger Indy uses the RBFT consensus algorithm, and if there is a lack of consensus with more than a certain number of problem nodes in the pool, data is not added. This problem can be prevented in advance by adding a node, and a node monitoring system was implemented to operate automatically. The node monitoring system continuously checks the status of the pool and automatically adds nodes when there are more than a certain number of problematic nodes to prevent consensus problems from occurring. This proposed method can increase the availability of Hyperledger Indy and is a study that can be referenced in various blockchain services that use consensus algorithms.","PeriodicalId":249252,"journal":{"name":"Korean Institute of Smart Media","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132015929","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When forest formation is insufficient due to forest damage caused by fire, secondary damages such as landslides occur during the winter thawing period and heavy rains. In most countries, only a limited area is managed as CCTV-centered monitoring systems for forest management. For the landslide prediction, markers containing 3D spatial coordinates were located on the slopes of the danger areas in advance. Then 3D mapping and angle of repose were obtained by periodic drone imaging. The recognition range and angle of view of markers were defined, and a new method for predicting signs of landslides in advance was presented in this study.","PeriodicalId":249252,"journal":{"name":"Korean Institute of Smart Media","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125587781","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In consideration, using T1-weighted images several classification models are proposed in Machine learning to identify AD. In this paper, we consider the improvised feature selection, to reduce the complexity by using wrapping techniques and Restricted Boltzmann Machine (RBM). This present work used the subcortical and cortical features of 278 subjects from the ADNI dataset to identify AD and sMRI. Multi-class classification is used for the experiment i.e., AD, EMCI, LMCI, HC. The proposed feature selection consists of Forward feature selection, Backward feature selection, and Combined PCA & RBM. Forward and backward feature selection methods use an iterative method starting being no features in the forward feature selection and backward feature selection with all features included in the technique. PCA is used to reduce the dimensions and RBM is used to select the best feature without interpreting the features. We have compared the three models with PCA to analysis. The following experiment shows that combined PCA &RBM, and backward feature selection give the best accuracy with respective classification model RF i.e., 88.65, 88.56% respectively.","PeriodicalId":249252,"journal":{"name":"Korean Institute of Smart Media","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121375026","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The performance of OCC technology is affected by the communication environment, and various strategies are being studied to improve it. Among them, the most prominent method is applying convolutional neural networks (CNN) to the receiver of OCC using deep learning technology. However, in most studies, CNN is simply used to detect the transmitter. In this paper, we experiment with applying the convolutional neural network not only for transmitter detection but also for the Rx demodulation system. We hypothesize that, since the data images of the OCC system are relatively simple to classify compared to other image datasets, high accuracy results will appear in most CNN models. To prove this hypothesis, we designed and implemented an OCC system to collect data and applied it to 12 different CNN models for experimentation. The experimental results showed that not only high-performance CNN models with many parameters but also lightweight CNN models achieved an accuracy of over 99%. Through this, we confirmed the feasibility of applying the OCC system in real-time on mobile devices such as smartphones.","PeriodicalId":249252,"journal":{"name":"Korean Institute of Smart Media","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114571200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To this end, one-sentence dictation using the push was implemented and one survey was conducted on a total of 144 students from two different English courses, 127 of whom responded the survey. The findings revealed that the push is effective for instructors to communicate with students in that it has high accessibility as MIM and school-based app. However, making the push be a more useful tool requires for instructors to be committed to communication with their students, to be well informed about the strengths of the push for its promotion, and to provide comprehensive introduction on how to use the push and check if students use it well.","PeriodicalId":249252,"journal":{"name":"Korean Institute of Smart Media","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126719429","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result of research analysis using online survey and in-depth interview research method, it was found that both intrinsic and extrinsic motives have a complex effect on artists and teachers' motivation to participate in the project. As for the effectiveness of participating in the project, the trust between artists and teachers and the contribution of education were positive, but the trust and satisfaction with the institution were negative. In order to increase the effectiveness of the project, it is required to improve the operation and management of the operating institution. Motivation and effectiveness of project participation are important factors in improving the quality of a project, and it is hoped that this study will serve as a basis for practical discussions on the role of operating institutions and projects.","PeriodicalId":249252,"journal":{"name":"Korean Institute of Smart Media","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130551587","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
