The mental health should be diagnosed and managed for us to be happy. The system that is proposed in this paper is the mental healthcare system that measures a bio signal and analyzes the mental health and then supports an appropriate service to reduce a stress and melancholy. In this system, the bio signals (PPG, SKT, GSR) are measured by sensors in the bio signal measurement module and the measured bio signals are transferred to the PDA. We use a Bluetooth for WBAN communication. The PDA connects with the same bio signal measurement module repeatedly, but the PDA always searches the hop frequency whenever the PDA tries to connect with it. So it is inefficient and should be improved. A new framework is needed for this purpose as well as increase of network utilization. We propose a framework for absolute end-to-end delay guarantee composed of 3 main components including resource mediator, resource manager and ADRR scheduler. The resource mediator allocate end-to-end delay budget to associated networks. The resource manager located in a single network selects path for connection and apportions assigned delay to each node along the path. We propose DYNAMIC delay apportion policy which is allocating delay to nodes proportional to link loading status. By adoption ADRR in nodes of transport layer absolute delay is able to be guaranteed. We run simulation to compare the network performance of EVEN delay apportionment policy and DYNAMIC delay apportionment policy of resource manager. As a result, EVEN policy shows better performance in terms of end-to-end delay and end-to-end throughput","PeriodicalId":247315,"journal":{"name":"2006 8th International Conference Advanced Communication Technology","volume":"145 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128836039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, flash memory has two disadvantages. One is that data cannot be overwritten before erase in advance. The other is that each erasable unit of flash memory has the limitation of possible number of erase operations: generally 100,000 program/erase cycles. To address these problems, the systems have a translation layer and a garbage collection mechanism to provide applications a transparent storage service. It called a flash translation layer (FTL). Recently, mobile and embedded systems use many types of multimedia data. It means that the storage system must have a long life time, fast access speed, and large capacity. To satisfy these requirements, we propose new FTL algorithm called LogFTL (Log-based FTL). As we want more smart and intelligent network, NGN is the most important issue to provide users converged and guaranteed services. To provide these services, NGN should support proper end-to-end mechanism to support a heterogeneous QoS environment in packet networks. We have studied in IPv6 DiffServ, MPLS DiffServ and other end-to-end QoS with differential service and, there are four ways to provide end-to-end QoS from current best-effort network to NGN; best-effort QoS in traditional IP network, QoS classification with priority in DiffServ network, QoS aggregation/TE in MPLS network and individual QoS/TE. One of the current problems to evolve NGN are there are many legacy equipments which we can not replace at once and various QoS differential service among networks. To address this, there should be proper admission control mechanisms to protect the core network and support end-to-end QoS in the access network. While planning-based admission is simple but not efficient, and probed-based admission control is efficient but has overhead in the network, egress resource prediction-based admission control is efficient and less overhead compared to the previous mechanisms. Egress resource prediction-based admission control mechanism has two parts. First, it checks the utilization of the egress node by probing. But not like probe-based admission control, it does not send probes as always as there are QoS requests. It handles a bundle of requests with probing, predicts the state of the egress node and sends the probe to handle the next bundle of requests. In this mechanism, how to measure the current state of egress node and predict its future state","PeriodicalId":247315,"journal":{"name":"2006 8th International Conference Advanced Communication Technology","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122212854","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
