Current-Mirror OTA and Folded-Cascode OTA are designed using gm/ID method for optimal sizing focusing on low-power design in order to meet the specifications needed for wearable applications. Simulation results and comparative discussion are presented for the two topologies designed on a 0.5 /µm CMOS process.","PeriodicalId":246490,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Symposium on Instrumentation Systems, Circuits and Transducers (INSCIT)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114157259","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this context, it is very important to evaluate the IoT solutions of demanding low-cost and low-power consumption capable to be applied in Precision Agriculture. An embedded processor with low cost and the most energy-efficient is the ARM Cortex-M0+ processor that has been widely used for building up IoT platforms. For its turn, measuring soil electrical conductivity is one of the most measured variable in Precision Agriculture. In this work, it is described a developed soil electrical conductivity smart sensor based on a low-cost and commercial soil conductivity sensor and on an ARM Cortex-M0+ processor. Calibration curves of the proposed soil conductivity smart sensor have been obtained and a performance analysis considering the computation time and the Mean Squared Error for the curves has been conducted. As a result, a particular time computation method for ARM Cortex-M0+ is described showing a high resolution and high precision and a trade-off between the proposed Smart Sensor's Computation-Time and Mean-Squared-Error could be obtained.","PeriodicalId":246490,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Symposium on Instrumentation Systems, Circuits and Transducers (INSCIT)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117137081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this sense, the present work proposed a portable multispectral spectrometer based in the multispectral photodetector eliminating in this way the complex and expensive conventional monochromator system. The acquisition, control and processing of signals are performed based on FPGA technology, which was developed based on virtual instrumentation software (NI LabView ®), manufactured by National Instruments, NI model myRIO-1900. This portable spectrometer showed to have the same performance than to bench spectrophotometer when these are applied to metal ions detection and classification by using the PAN molecules as active indicator. The metal ions detection and classification with bench spectrometer and portable spectrometer showed to be efficient when it was used three-dimensional chromaticity diagrams. These results pointed out that the proposed portable spectrometer will be used successfully for in-situ and real time metal ions monitoring in river and like environment.","PeriodicalId":246490,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Symposium on Instrumentation Systems, Circuits and Transducers (INSCIT)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122189944","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They were done to expand the local knowledge about light output depreciation from Inorganic Light Emitting Diodes technology. Data were collected at the Campus of the University of São Paulo for road lighting and for interior lighting at the Institute of Energy and Environment. An integrating photometer was developed locally, it was put into service to sample light sources with Edison base type and preliminary results from a longterm lifespan experiment on the depreciation of light output are presented. The integrating photometer assembled use the configuration called 2π. It reduces the thermal and light output stabilization period, have the advantages at transportation to the test site and can avoid light distribution uniformity error.","PeriodicalId":246490,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Symposium on Instrumentation Systems, Circuits and Transducers (INSCIT)","volume":"18 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129013468","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compliance with international standard regulations for electronic equipment require expensive tests as part of the design and certification processes. In this work, a methodology to simulate electromagnetic compatibility tests is proposed, enabling cost reduction during certification, and consequently reducing development time. Two different printed-circuit-board layouts of a DC/DC-converter case study are compared through measurements and simulations to validate the methodology.","PeriodicalId":246490,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Symposium on Instrumentation Systems, Circuits and Transducers (INSCIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129058342","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
