Carbon Nanocoil (CNC) is a quasi 1D material with unique helical morphology, which shows remarkable advantages in mechanical and electromagnetic properties. In this work, we designed a Ti3C2Tx@C nanocoil (CMNC) by coating Ti3C2Tx flakes on the surface of CNC for better application performance. The thermophysical properties of single CMNCs were investigated using a transient eletrothermall (TET) technique. The average room temperature thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity of CMNCs were measured to be 8×10-6 m2/s and 15.6 W/m K, which are one order of magnitude higher than those of CNCs, due to successful coating of MXene on the surface of CNC. However, enhancement of electrical properties brought by MXene coating is much smaller than those of thermal properties. Variable temperature characterization from 298 to 334 K reveals an increasing trend of thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity with temperature increasing, which is attributed to the interaction and heat transfer between MXene and CNCs. MXene coating provides better thermal management performance for practical applications of CNCs, such as wave absorbing.","PeriodicalId":244913,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Thermal Science Research","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126766477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During the drilling process, the cutter will produce a large amount of friction heat when cutting the rock, resulting in a sharp increase in the internal temperature of the cutter. When the temperature reaches a certain value, thermal wear and tear are very easy to occur, which will not only cause diamond delamination but also reduce the wear resistance of the cutter. Under the action of impact load, impact failure is more likely to occur, which greatly reduces the service life of the cutter and the rock-breaking efficiency of the drill bit. Therefore, this paper studies the composite interface suitable for high-temperature drilling through the changes of cutting tooth temperature field and stress field with different interface shapes, which shows that the non-planar interface is more suitable for improving the cutting tooth life of composite under the action of comprehensive stress field.","PeriodicalId":244913,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Thermal Science Research","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130749562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this way, the final destination of the waste can become a problem when not managed correctly. Therefore, there are several possibilities for using these solid residues, as they present substances of great commercial interest. In this perspective, the present work evaluates the recovery of orange essential oil from the citrus industry waste using hydrodistillation. The oil obtained was characterized by acidic index, FTIR, GC / MS, TGA and DSC. The results exhibited that oil isolated by hydrodistillation has a similarity with cold-pressed orange oil. The chemical constitution of oil obtained from waste was almost the same as the commercial orange oil analyzed. However, the thermal behaviour presents a few differences in thermal stability and vaporization temperature between analysed essential oils. Therefore, this work produces an alternative to obtain a product with quality, high yields and added value that can be used in cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.","PeriodicalId":244913,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Thermal Science Research","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132706277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The influence of electric current and ambient temperature on the maximum temperature has been investigated. To validate the proposed method, some experimental tests have been done. The analyzed transformer had a rated power of 2kVA and the rated primary voltage of 230V. There is a good correlation between experimental and theoretical results with a maximum difference of 3°C.","PeriodicalId":244913,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Thermal Science Research","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127997974","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
