Additionally, the derivatives of traditional desktop computer such as handheld and wearable devices suffer from constrained resources. Most of these devices are faced with small display sizes, small computing power and storage capability. Likewise, end users of these devices have different preferences, which must be given utmost consideration during user interface generation. This paper presents a polymorphic logical description (PLD) for achieving user centric, multi-device interfaces. An authoring environment, named custom-MADE (CoMADE) was developed based on PLD for discrete and automatic generation of user centric, multi-device interfaces. User tasks are given a polymorphic description and their relationships are represented and persisted as objects. A user interface is composed based on an explicit user model and real time user preference information. Design, load and runtime are managed by CoMADE. With these, we achieved user centric, multi-device interfaces generation with a high degree of flexibility and direct user participation.","PeriodicalId":244239,"journal":{"name":"2008 Third International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Applications","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125664818","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But some problems have not yet to be adequately addressed are the semantic and behavioral aspects of composition in this domain. Therefore a formal description method was presented to network behavior. The method includes a simple formal language, and its semantic was described by CSP. The formal language has graphical syntax with topology style. And it also has some characters that are suitable for the formal research and analysis about some problems in network management. Consequently, the method can be used to provide precise formal description and analysis about network behavior. And a reliable mathematical foundation is also provided for the correctness and validity of software system design.","PeriodicalId":244239,"journal":{"name":"2008 Third International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Applications","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127923230","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
