It profoundly affects the progress of human civilization and threatens everyone’s living environment. It is the common task of all mankind to vigorously promote CO2 reduction and deal with global warming. Among various carbon emission reduction measures and policies, CO2 emission reduction technology has made rapid progress and has distinctive features in practical application. The potential economic benefits of further carbon abatement research are huge, as high value-added products can be obtained from cheap CO2 sources, resulting in significant economic benefits. In addition, as a “renewable” carbon and oxygen resource, integrating CO2 into the basic raw material of the production process is an important sustainable development strategy, so the environmental benefits of further strengthening CO2 emission reduction cannot be ignored. From the perspective of the CO2 emission cycle, this paper introduces the widely used CO2 emission reduction technology and expounds on the trend of CO2 emission reduction in the future.","PeriodicalId":244107,"journal":{"name":"21st International Scientific Conference Engineering for Rural Development Proceedings","volume":"6 21","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113979427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article is devoted to increasing the efficiency of the combined feed mixer in the process of feeding animals. The unit provides simultaneous grinding and mixing of the components of the feed ration, both in the forage area and during transportation, followed by their dosed distribution. With the simultaneous movement of the mobile feed mixer along the road and the operation of the screw mixer, dynamic forces arise, leading to oscillations of the unit in the transverse and longitudinal directions, relative to its axis. Compensation for these movements is carried out by the tires of the unit, which leads to their intensive wear. The results of studies that allow to identify and balance the dynamic loads that occur in the structural elements of the unit during the preparation and distribution of feed are presented. A dynamic and mathematical model of a mobile combined feed preparation unit has been developed. The resulting graphs show the dynamics of its work, the nature of the change in loads. An analysis of the graphs proves that when the mobile mixer moves, the tires and the mixer itself vibrate, which can lead to a loss of balance of the unit. To avoid such a phenomenon, it is proposed to reduce the unbalance of the rotor of the unit. To do this, it is proposed to improve the screw working body, which is made two-way with a phase shift of the screws. After the improvement, the maximum deflection angle of the bunker of the feed preparation unit is 0.034 rad. The speed of bending oscillations does not exceed ± 1 s -1 . The angular acceleration of the screw at the beginning has a jerk, then it reaches a steady motion with a constant nature of the change in oscillations within ± 6.3 s -2 . The justified rational design of the rotor in the form of a two-way conical auger makes it possible to increase the durability of the tires of the mobile combined feed preparation unit by 16-20%.","PeriodicalId":244107,"journal":{"name":"21st International Scientific Conference Engineering for Rural Development Proceedings","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125149939","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These elements can form solutions in liquid metal, or they can form separate phases. The physical and chemical reactions that occur in the process of steel melting and solidification produce non-metallic compounds and phases, referred to as inclusions. Inclusions as impurities found in steel can affect its performance characteristics. The article discusses the results of a study investigating the effect of oxygen on the fatigue strength of structural steel during rotary bending. The study was performed on 7 heats produced in an industrial plant. Fourteen heats were produced in 100 ton oxygen converter. All heats were desulfurized. The heats from the converter were subjected to vacuum circulation degassing. The experimental variants were compared in view of the heat treatment options. The examination was realized by the rotatory curving machine about the frequency of pendulum cycles: 6000 periods on minute. For basis was accepted on fatigue defining endurance level 107 cycles. The level of the fatigue-inducing load was adapted to the strength properties of steel from 540 to 650 MPa. The fatigue strength of steel with tested for oxygen content in steel was determined during rotary bending. The results revealed that fatigue strength is determined by the contents of oxygen impurity spaces and tempering temperature. A reduction in the fatigue strength during rotary bending of low-carbon steel from 368 to 252 MPa was observed when the tempering temperature changed from 200 to 600oC. It was found that with an increase in the content from 0.0023%, 0.003% of the bending transfer (for all temperatures from 298 to 328 MPa) can be transferred.","PeriodicalId":244107,"journal":{"name":"21st International Scientific Conference Engineering for Rural Development Proceedings","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114461108","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This gap provides opportunities for additional research to examine materials and technology that can benefit engineering student performance in Business English for Specific Purposes course which shares the characteristics with General English, English for Specific Purposes, Business English and is considered the most difficult ESP subset both for teaching and learning. In this paper, we investigate the influence of engineering podcasts chosen through needs analysis and online technical writing materials on students’ speaking and writing skills in a profession-based context. To be more specific, we examined which of the two sub-skills was acquired with better progress. This study followed two groups of Masters majoring in Agricultural Engineering and Electrical Engineering and Energy (n = 115) in Ukraine through 2020/21. To design the course, we conveyed a two-phase questionnaire to examine engineering students’ opinions on the necessity of acquiring four basic skills and sub-skills. After having integrated English podcasts for engineers by Olivia Augustin, the engineering career coach podcasts and technical writing videos with the experimental group both groups were tested at the end of the course. To assess the statistical difference between the groups Pearson criterion in Excel was used. The research results showed that students highlighted speaking and writing skills as the main challenges. Technical writing skills were enhanced by using technology in Business English for Engineering Purposes classroom. The experiment has demonstrated that there is no significant difference in improving speaking skills in the control and experimental groups. Further research should consider other effective strategies for improving students’ speaking performance in Business English for Engineering Purposes.","PeriodicalId":244107,"journal":{"name":"21st International Scientific Conference Engineering for Rural Development Proceedings","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114988572","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the objectives of the State Fire-Fighting and Rescue Service strategy is aimed at improving the quality of the services to be provided, including the implementation of a package of measures aimed at modernising the technical base. Which, in turn, will ensure the efficient performance of the functions and tasks identified and the use of useful resources, and will also provide staff with safer working conditions. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the spotlight of the regulatory documents regulating the norms of the special equipment provision in SFRS. Laws and regulations are an external form of expression of rights and an integral part of any democratic state. The updating of the regulatory framework, which determines the norms of special equipment in SFRS, was not carried out from 2011, but the range of special machinery and equipment changed significantly over a period of ten years. Within the framework of the study, an analysis of the existing regulatory framework, which determines the equipment necessary for fire-fighting and rescue work of SFRS, as well as special and technical equipment and the norms thereof, has been performed. The provision of SFRS with the special machinery and equipment necessary for carrying out the functions and tasks specified in regulatory enactments has been identified and evaluated. Methods used in the study: statistical and document analysis, observations. Practical calculations have been made and optimal solutions have been proposed based on the results of the calculations. The study results in the development of practically applicable material, the regulatory enactment, which determines the equipment necessary for fire-fighting and rescue work of SFRS, as well as the technical equipment and the norms thereof, for the project.","PeriodicalId":244107,"journal":{"name":"21st International Scientific Conference Engineering for Rural Development Proceedings","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129461316","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Composting is biological decomposition of biodegradable solid waste under controlled conditions in a state that is sufficiently stable to allow trouble-free storage and handling and that is satisfactorily matured for safe use in agriculture. Biohumus (earthworm compost) or earthworm is a pure natural microbiological organic fertilizer, having no preservatives in its composition, resulting from a mixture of manure and biological waste produced by earthworms. Due to its special composition (it has a large proportion of all the elements that plants need), it can be used in many fields of activity: horticulture, forestry, vegetable growing. When mineral fertilizers are not available or are too expensive, compost is the most important source of plant nutrients and soil condition. The use of the biohumus loosening plant aims to adjust the natural decomposition process, ensure good conditions for the composting process, especially air (oxygen), water, and a good composition of the material introduced into the piles, and monitor them for getting a quality product. Obtaining quality biohumus requires the application of a technology that establishes all the necessary steps to be completed. In this sense, within INMA, two installations necessary in the process of obtaining biohumus were substantiated, designed and realized: the biohumus loosening plant and the IPB biohumus production plant (vermicompost). This paper will present the results of the experiments performed with technical equipment for obtaining biohumus: the IAB biohumus loosening plant and the IPB biohumus production plant.","PeriodicalId":244107,"journal":{"name":"21st International Scientific Conference Engineering for Rural Development Proceedings","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125985010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis was carried out for a specific technological problem in which the principal objective was to reduce the outer tube diameter in a segment within a given length. Assumptions were made as to initial and boundary conditions, and the punch speed was preselected. In particular, the influence of the friction coefficient between the die and workpiece has been analyzed. As a result, using the CAD/CAE system, the diagrams of pressure distribution for each node in the CAD model of the die in several time steps have been obtained and presented. The results of the numerical analysis are of great importance, as they make it possible to (approximately) estimate the die load. Though the actual extrusion process is accomplished within split second, the setting up of a workpice equipped with all required measurement sensors to register the die load poses a very complicated problem and often requires significant outlays. Additionaly, the numerical result of the obtained diameter of the tube has been presented.","PeriodicalId":244107,"journal":{"name":"21st International Scientific Conference Engineering for Rural Development Proceedings","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126025618","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This approach to education has also been adopted by foreign language teachers of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies and integrated into the Academic English course for postgraduate engineering students. The present research highlights the importance of reflection in the educational process and is aimed to investigate students’ perceptions of their blended learning experience. In the course of the study, a semi-structured interview and a questionnaire were administred involving postgraduate engineering students. The analysis of the results obtained in student reflection provided empirical evidence to the claim that the students were advantageously influenced as a result of the blended learning environment in the Academic English course. Most of the students confirmed that all necessary Academic English skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking can be developed in a hybrid format, that blended learning environment promotes self-directed learning skills and enhances motivation to study the foreign language. The majority of the respondents reported value of virtual reality that increased meaningful interaction and built a sense of community and spoke in favor of continuing education in blended learning context. The final part of the article presents conclusions of the research findings and recommendations for the EAP practitioners which could also be used in an ordinary post pandemic study process.","PeriodicalId":244107,"journal":{"name":"21st International Scientific Conference Engineering for Rural Development Proceedings","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121606955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
