Early detection and faults diagnosis leads to effective operations. This paper deals a diagnosis of faults in three phase induction motor by means of zero-sequence stator current spectrum. The simulation and experimental setup are designed under bearing faults. Using finite element method (ANSOFT MAXWELL-2D) the motor are designed to diagnose bearing faults in three phase induction motor. The dynamic model of wind driven induction generator along necessary power converters is evolved in Matlab/Simulink. The system functionality is analyzed for different wind velocities. The synchronous reference frame PLL (dq/SRF PLL) synchronizes the grid and the system. Three types of popular neural architectures namely single hidden layered Feedforward architecture, multi hidden layered Feedforward neural architecture, cascade architecture are considered for investigation. The non-linear load namely diode bridge uncontrolled rectifier with resistive inductive (RL) load is chosen for study. All the three architectures are trained and tested using MATLAB simulation. The performance of three types of neural architectures is compared in terms of accuracy and complexity for harmonic current estimation. The suitable neural architecture is identified for harmonic current estimation.
