For developing countries like India, this COVID-19 testing capacity building activity seems a monstrous task, specifically due to a global shortage of testing kits and naive phase of domestic productions of testing kits. The research communities and government organizations across the world are trying to devise a methodology to grapple with this global shortage of testing kits. Pooled Sample Testing is one such methodology that has emerged recently which utilizes the testing kits optimally, where the positivity rate is low. For optimal utilization of testing kits, this article provides the theoretical study of using Computer Science, Data Structure Binary Search Algorithm in Pooled Sample testing methodology of COVID-19. The article explains how using new methodology there can be a further reduction in the number of testing kits required for identifying individual positive specimens.","PeriodicalId":243033,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Intelligent Informatics and Biomedical Sciences (ICIIBMS)","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124228287","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, we made and assessed sound shielding characteristics of a box used in our experiments. Next, we made a photoacoustic cell using an IR-LED and a silicon microphone. Then, using both the photoacoustic cell and the sound shielding box, we measured sound shielding characteristics of the box and frequency characteristics of natural rubber and sliced ham(s). From experimental results, it is found that the sound shielding box has a good sound shielding characteristic to attenuate noise from outside, and that the proper frequencies of modulated light to reach to the depth ranging from about 2 to 3 [mm] are those of 1.7 to 1.8 kHz. We need to specify them and improve the photoacoustic cell for our future work.","PeriodicalId":243033,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Intelligent Informatics and Biomedical Sciences (ICIIBMS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129525618","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Manual annotation by experts needs hard work, thus only a small set of annotated vessel structures is available. Examples such as DRIVE and STARE include small sets for training images of fundus image benchmarks. Moreover, there is no vessel structure annotation for a number of fundus image datasets. Synthetic images have been generated by using appropriate parameters for the modeling of vascular networks or by methods developing deep learning techniques and supported by performance hardware. Our methodology aims to produce high-resolution synthetic fundus images alternative to the increasing use of generative adversarial networks, to overcome the problems that arise in producing slightly modified versions of the same real images, to simulate pathologies and for the prediction of eye-related diseases. Our approach is based on the principle of the least action to place vessels on the simulated eye fundus.","PeriodicalId":243033,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Intelligent Informatics and Biomedical Sciences (ICIIBMS)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127942711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The further filter of the established gene pool is conducted before the fitness evaluation of evolutionary individuals to guarantee that each participated individual is a “living body” which can productively reduce the amount of calculation and the number of iterations. The proposed modified algorithm is verified via the algorithm of aircraft path planning under multiple constraints, the results showing that our method can effectively boost the performance of the genetic algorithm.","PeriodicalId":243033,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Intelligent Informatics and Biomedical Sciences (ICIIBMS)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114897501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a remote sensing image registration method based on dual-channel convolutional neural network (DCCNN) is proposed. Firstly, the dual-channel neural network model with improved dense structure is used to extract the features of the input image pair and generate the corresponding feature points. Then the affine transformation coefficient is obtained by feature matching using the robust point set registration algorithm (TPS-RPM) based on thin-plate spline. Finally, the image to be registered can be transformed according to the coefficient to achieve the purpose of registration.The experimental results show that the registration accuracy of this method is higher than that of the comparison method.","PeriodicalId":243033,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Intelligent Informatics and Biomedical Sciences (ICIIBMS)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123975903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It even has the potential to create devastating social, economic and political effects on the countries it touches. Accurate prediction of the disease spread and the economic effects of interventions can help policy makers to develop reasonable strategies to control the pandemic. In this study, we built a SEIR-based simulation model to predict the disease transmission in Belgium. Based on the prediction, we also developed an economic model to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of quarantine strategy. The results show that quarantine is an appropriate and cost-effective intervention to prevent the prevalence of COVID-19.","PeriodicalId":243033,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Intelligent Informatics and Biomedical Sciences (ICIIBMS)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126632177","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The micro-expression recognition has recently attracted much attention in psychology and computer vision community. In this paper, we designed a multi-stream Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) combined with the Capsule Network(CapsNet) module.named CNNCapsNet, to improve the performance of micro-expression recognition. Firstly, both vertical and horizontal optical flow are computed from the onset to the apex, and from the apex to the offset frame respectively, which is the first time that the offset frame information has been taken into account in the field of micro-expression recognition. Secondly, these four optical flow images and the grayscale image of apex frame are input into the five-stream CNN model to extract features. Finally, CapsNet completes micro-expression recognition by learning the features extracted by CNN. The method proposed in this paper are evaluated using the Leave-One-Subject-Out (LOSO) cross-validation protocol on CASME II. The results show that the offset information, which is often neglected, is more important than onset information for the recognition task. Our CNNCapsNet framework can achieve the accuracy of 64.63% for the five-class micro-expression classification.","PeriodicalId":243033,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Intelligent Informatics and Biomedical Sciences (ICIIBMS)","volume":"192 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125850748","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to improve its accuracy, a method based on chaotic brain storm optimization algorithm in objective space(CBSO-OS) is proposed. The CBSO-OS increases its ability of global exploitation by replacing random function with guass map. Compared with other four optimization algorithms in image registration experiments, the root mean square error of the proposed algorithm is reduced by 0.69%, 2.26%, 3.54% and 1.37%, respectively. Meanwhile, the translation error of the proposed registration algorithm is the smallest. Experimental results show that the proposed registration algorithm effectively reduces the registration error of medical images so as to provide doctors with high-precision registered images.","PeriodicalId":243033,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Intelligent Informatics and Biomedical Sciences (ICIIBMS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126531644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
