A measurement of whether establishing a smart city would be compatible with Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 11 is undertaken to enhance its inhabitants' well-being. A total of 105 and 134 citizens of the smart cities in China and Malaysia, respectively, received online surveys. The data was analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results offer empirical evidence that reinforces the theoretical underpinnings of smart city development. Additionally, the findings emphasize citizen satisfaction in improving residents' well-being, acting as a mediator.","PeriodicalId":241931,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Environment-Behaviour Studies","volume":"22 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138585699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A questionnaire was designed based on a breakdown of several attributes during the pre-tenancy and tenancy execution phases and distributed among the tenants. A descriptive analysis was conducted, and the findings show that the areas that the management could focus on to improve the tenancy management are the tenancy advertisement requirements; vacant possession and complaints handling process; facilities and amenities; simplified contract renewal process; interview sessions; and appropriate approach to solve rent arrears.","PeriodicalId":241931,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Environment-Behaviour Studies","volume":"21 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138585433","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper investigates the spatial use of bergendang activity in traditional Malay houses along the Sarawak River in Kuching. The research employed a qualitative case study design approach through field study observation and semi-structured interviews. Findings revealed different spatial use of bergendang for the early and later models of Sarawak Malay houses, which is associated with house owners’ social status. Spatial studies on traditional Malay houses in other parts of Sarawak are recommended for constructing northern Borneo's vernacular Malay house framework \u0000  \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":241931,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Environment-Behaviour Studies","volume":"2 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138585520","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study is to explain the fishermen's struggle in dealing with abrasion and rebuilding the economy back to normal. The area on the west coast of Minangkabau facing the Indian Ocean is inhabited by people living on the coast. The west coast of Sumatra is very prone to coastal abrasion, because it faces the Indian Ocean which has high waves and big waves, so that coastal erosion always occurs in several areas, including Agam Regency, Padang Pariaman Regency, Padang City, and Pesisir Selatan Regency. In general, the west coast of Sumatra is a maritime-oriented residential area, both fishermen and other maritime cultural-oriented people. The nuances of their economic life are very dependent on the sea, such as fishing, processing of dried fish, sea transportation, port activities, shipping and trade. Ideally, all activities of fishing communities run smoothly according to the available natural and human resources. The method used is the historical research method, which includes heuristic (data collection), criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Several fishing settlements on the west coast of West Sumatra experienced coastal abrasion. As a result, they were forced to be moved to other settlements, so they could avoid the beach abrasion disaster. Automatically their livelihood changes and income also changes, resulting in social change. Those who initially worked as fishermen were forced to switch to the agricultural economy, because their settlement was far from the coast.","PeriodicalId":241931,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Environment-Behaviour Studies","volume":"22 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138585698","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The majority of nurses exhibited good awareness of NSIs and related infections. Concerns about NSIs and sharps disposal containers were common among nurses. Most nurses practiced safe handling and disposal of needles but had room for improvement in consistent glove usage and adherence to post-exposure prophylaxis. Targeted interventions and educational programs are needed to enhance knowledge, attitudes, and practices, ensuring better workplace safety for healthcare workers and reducing the risk of blood-borne pathogen transmission.","PeriodicalId":241931,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Environment-Behaviour Studies","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122421119","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The high prevalence of fast food consumption among the young generation leads to excessive weight. Hence, this study investigates how Generation Z perceives the CSR practices performed by fast food restaurants to ensure products' safety, nutrition, and health. The Theory of Stakeholder is employed to explain the responsibility of businesses to their stakeholders. 330 respondents responded to the survey. This study confirms that the four CSR dimensions influence fast food's product safety, nutrition, and health.","PeriodicalId":241931,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Environment-Behaviour Studies","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115081342","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
