The proposed method not only outputs high entropy keys, but also conceals the original biometric data such that it is impossible to recover the biometric data even when the stored information in the system is open to an attacker. Simulated results have demonstrated that constructed fuzzy vault crypto biometric key based on fingerprint vector features addresses a replacement of minutiae fingerprint vault representation, where the vector features are used to form the lock set. The size of the fuzzy vault and the degree of the underlying polynomial are needed for reaching the reliable investigated binded key. It uses switching in the time domain only, while the wavelength domain is used to increase the transport rate, and thus to decrease the time required for transmission of a data burst. Different structures of the transceiver unit for edge nodes as well as methods for burst assembly and transmission are proposed and discussed. Three architectures of core nodes are described and studied with respect of their cascadability. We study, by simulation, the performance of adaptive equalization, assisted by a recursive phase noise-removing unit, on the combined impact of the above effects. This inverse problem is solved using transmission line techniques. For the solution of this problem it is required the mode propagation constant beta in the waveguide. In this work we present the theory for estimating the mode propagation constant beta accurately. The calculation of the propagation constant beta is vital for the refractive index reconstruction and we show that it implies error minimization in the refractive index synthesis from near field. From Maxwellpsilas equations, we derive an equivalent transmission-line circuit for a cylindrical dielectric waveguide. Based on an analytical method, that computes the error in the reconstructed refractive index due to inaccuracy in beta. Subsequently we work out the exact value of the propagation constant beta. The proposed analytical method computes the refractive index error directly without the need for curve fitting or numerical differentiation. We demonstrate this algorithm with example reconstructions for step, triangular and parabolic optical fiber refractive index profiles. The 2DGPCA method addresses the problems of feature extraction, feature selection and classification. In this approach, the Gabor wavelets are used to extract facial features. The principle component analysis (PCA) is then applied directly on the Gabor transformed image matrices in order to remove redundant information and form an efficient representation more suitable for face recognition. During classification, the Euclidean classifier is explored for simplicity and robustness in the presence of facial variations. The justification behind combining the 2D Gabor wavelets and the PCA is that Gabor transformed face images contain spatial locality, scale and orientation. These images are robust to variations due to pose, expression and scale, thus, making them most suitable for face representation and recognition. The proposed 2DGPCA method was tested on face recognition using the ORL database, where the images vary in expression, pose, and scale. This formulation is capable of providing integer optimal solutions despite the absence of integrality constraints for a large subset of RWA input instances. In static RWA there is no a-priori knowledge of the channels usage and the interference among them cannot be avoided once the solution has been found. In this paper a new method for determining the mutual inductance is presented. This method is based on a two-port consideration to obtain the elements of the impedance matrix of the coupling system. The mutual inductance is calculated from the impedance matrix and the coilpsilas equivalent circuit values using a physical inductor model. Furthermore the system model presented in this paper includes the capacitive coupling between the two coils. Present methods and their disadvantages are described and the new method and its improvements are explained in detail. However, resource allocation is more crucial for wireless networks, in particular for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), as nodes interfere with each other due to each node being equally equipped with the same frequency of transmission and reception. In this paper, metrics of global data flow rate combined with local data drop rate are innovatively formed into an optimisation model to implement resource allocation. These metrics are interpreted as prices, in the same way as prices in the market place reflect the relationship of supply and demand. Global prices perceive a whole network utility and the local prices present the degree of local congestion. This is the criteria to implement global fairness and tackle local congestion.
