Das größte Anwendungsgebiet der Druckregelungen sind die zentralen Druckölversorgungen von großen hydraulischen Anlagen, bei denen mehrere Verbraucher parallel an das Drucknetz angeschlossen werden. Ein weiteres Anwendungsgebiet sind hydraulische Anlagen, bei denen die zu regelnden mechanischen Größen in einem festen Verhältnis zu dem Druck stehen.
