Therefore, a game-based Android m-learning application for the Basic graphics course has been developed. Accordingly, the gameplay and functionality of the game-based Android m-learning game for the Basic graphics course has been conducted. A set of questionnaire forms was used as an instrument was given to three experts in their respective fields to evaluate and give a view to the developed m-learning application. This issue should be taken seriously as history is an important mechanism for the implementation of national identity of the multi-ethnic community in Malaysia. Thus, this paper discusses the relationship between history and national identity, the disparity of the younger generation in appreciating history and the measurement mechanisms for the appreciation of the history of the country. This discussion is based on content analysis of relevant literature materials. The results of this discussion need to be highlighted as history is often disregarded by most communities in the face of modernity. In fact there are also Islamic scholars who place the science of tauhid as the main factor for avoiding the modern science’s thought such as saintism, rationalism and empiricism and that can effect the philosophy of Islamic science. This includes the field of halal science which is a branch of philosophy of Islamic science. Furthermore, the impacts of science and technology on the theory and application of halal science has led to some polemics in the community including genetically modified food (GMF), biotechnology risk in plants, halal slaughtering using machines, wool or lecithin based on animal or human resources, the use of elements pigs and derivatives in various products, alcohol (alcohol and ethanol) in food and more. Hence, research on philosophy of halal science is important. Therefore, this article has three objectives. First, identify the philosophy of halal science. Second; analyze the verses of the Qur'an on the philosophy of halal science and the third; to build the philosophy of halal science based on the Qur'an which is the main source and remains relevant. {"title":"Nigerian National Population and Housing Census and Sustainable Development: Issues at Stake","authors":"I. In Nigeria, National Population and Housing Censuses conducted in her history have not only been significant, but also problematic, sensitive, expensive, controversial exercises, yet very crucial source of statistical data for socio-economic, political and sustainable development. However, sustainable development cannot be achieved with mere census figures unless they are reliable for planning and implementation, as no matter how abundant human and material resources may be available and committed to such, sustainable development will only be a mirage without reliable statistics and plans. The earlier scheduled 2016 Population and Housing Census has been shifted to the year 2018 and this article explored the stake issues before the 2018 census exercise.  There are for the 2018 census exercise, major issues/challenges of unity and cohesion of Nigerian state due to threats of renewed militancy in the Niger Delta; renewed agitations for re-structuring Nigerian state by the East and West parts of the country; issues of large nimber of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDP’s), especially within the North-East (Boko Haram) and North Central (Fulani/herdsmen-farmers conflict), and accessibility to many of those areas;  feasibility of conducting it within the year (2018); proper and timely sourcing of funding, proper management/administration of ethno-religious issues of sensitive questions to be asked and answered and scams in recruitment/appointment of census officials and enumerators. Cocoa and rubber products’ trade is very important to the Malaysian economy and the global agricultural industry. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between cocoa, rubber and economic growth in Malaysia. To examine this linkage, we use time series from 1972 to 2016. Based upon the results we examined for both the short-run and long-run by employing Johansen co-integration and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). All the governmental efforts put in place so far failed to curb the menace as the threat of insurgency continues in some parts of Northeastern Nigeria. This work examined the major challenges that are responsible for the continuation of insurgency despite divergent measures taken by the government to address the problem. The research used both primary and secondary sources of data. The primary source is the in-depth interview conducted with some selected informants who are related with security issues involving security personnel in the Northeast, policy-makers, analysts, some repented insurgents and media men. The secondary source is the use of the existing documents such as books, reports, news and internet sources. The data obtained was discussed and analysed using thematic analytical interpretations to arrive at findings. The research discovered that, the major reasons or challenges that made insurgency defiant of all solutions in Northeastern Nigeria consists of corruption, conspiracy, inappropriate approach, lack of proper intelligence, hostility from the host communities, nature of Nigerian borders, politicisation of security issues, religious dogmatism and lack of cooperation among the security personnel. Animals and plants benefit the well-being of human lives. On the other hand, animals and plants are created by Allah s.w.t. to safeguard the continuity of the environment, these two types of beings play an important role in the continuation of the earth’s ecosystem. The objective of this study to discover the contribution of animals and plants that are enshrined in the al Qur’an as guided by the maudhu`iy method of interpretation. The findings show that the al Qur’an as a holy book for all mankind certainly does not disregard in paying attention to animals and plants by giving names on some of the surahs of the Qur’an such as surah al-Baqarah, al-Fil, al-Tin, al-An`am, al-Naml, al-Nahl, and al-Ankabut. Beginner voters as a political person in preparing the Riau Islands regional government occupies a sizeable portion of any political agenda, the importance of early voters is even used as a booster for the political party voting on the grounds that the novice voters are judged to have minimal information about the candidates. Whereas they claim to be enthusiastic with the regional head electoral system simultaneously but declare that they do not know the candidates, vision and mission and work programs of each candidate, and do not know the procedures in voting and cannot be sure that the portion of the registered voters is interested in claiming to be interested in Certain candidate pairs on the grounds of young leaders and reformers in the election of regional heads and have hope that elected candidates are able to produce policies that favor young people, for example by establishing quality educational facilities and infrastructure in Batam. The purpose of this research is to know political voter behavior in the batam local election period 2015 and the factors that influence it. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, with snowball sampling technique with the acquisition of 67 informants. Beginner voters of the Sagulung Kota Urban Villages are irrational where sociological factors are the dominant factor for them in determining the right to vote should they be rational as they are in the culture of critical young people, but the dominance of the family and the opinion of the majority of the local people's choices affect their political choices. To achieve the said objective, three independent variables that are widely discussed in the literature were tested, namely, financial literacy, financial management, and attitude toward savings. In completing the study, 139 questionnaires were completed by respondents using simple random sampling. Based on regression analysis, this study found that all three determinant factors under study have significant relationships with financial well-being. The findings of this study are supported by most of previous studies. This study has successfully filled in the literature gap by presenting evidence of determinant factors of financial well-being among public servants of an emerging economy that is still not well addressed in the literature.
