The mainstream 2D convolutional network has low computational cost but cannot capture timing information; the mainstream 3D convolutional network can extract spatio-temporal features but has a huge amount of calculation and is difficult to deploy. In this paper, a Spatiotemporal Feature Pyramid Module(STFPM) is proposed to extract spatio-temporal feature information. STFPM captures temporal information between frames by dilated convolution and fuses feature information by weighted addition. STFPM can be flexibly inserted into the 2D backbone network in a plug-and-play manner. When equipped with STFPM, 2D ResNet-50 achieves good results on UCF101 dataset and HMDB51 dataset.","PeriodicalId":236797,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Design (ISCID)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124309618","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We conducted a structured process based on participatory design. Participants were invited to design gestures and evaluate the quality of gesture vocabulary. It has been reported that realistic hands present a strong sense of presence and body ownership, while there is a controversy about the sense of agency. This paper investigates the influence of virtual hand representation on user perception and the association between the sense of body ownership and agency. An experiment based on virtual reality was designed with hand representations of different levels of realism to collect users’ perception data through questionnaires, and the Spearman correlation was adopted to analyze the relationship between body ownership and agency. The results show that realistic hand induces the higher sense of presence and body ownership, but there is no significant difference in the sense of agency. Moreover, a positive correlation between body ownership and agency in virtual environments was found.","PeriodicalId":236797,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Design (ISCID)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125598988","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has quite competitive performance with respect to other popular algorithms. Nevertheless, it still has several defects, such as it can’t easily get rid of the situation that falls into the local optimal and its convergence speed is slow under the condition that the spherical space is much too large. As grey wolf optimization (GWO) algorithm has good abilities of minimizing the global search space and local area avoidance, the search mechanism of GWO by serial pattern is studied and combined with SS to improve its balance between exploration and exploitation. The new spherical search and grey wolf optimization algorithm algorithm we proposed is called SSGWO, and its superiority is demonstrated with experimental results based on 30 benchmark functions of IEEE CEC2017 in comparison with its component algorithms.","PeriodicalId":236797,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Design (ISCID)","volume":"73 5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131874745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

How to detect the flying ball accurately and timely are two main challenges in this area. Since the table tennis ball is relatively small compared with the playing court, it belongs to the category of small object detection in large scenes. In this study, an efficient one-stage based detection algorithm structure is proposed to speed up the detection and achieves promising accuracy. Specifically, a network pruning strategy is applied to accelerate the detection. Furthermore, in order to alleviate the performance drop caused by network pruning, a novel context fusion component is introduced to the network which is a specified design for small object detection. The experimental results show the proposed feature fusion based efficient convolution network achieves real-time table tennis ball detection of 3.4 ms on the Nvidia 1050Ti hardware with 0.971 (mAP) accuracy.","PeriodicalId":236797,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Design (ISCID)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114296986","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The neural network can obtain limited knowledge in the learning process and it is difficult to improve the accuracy. To tackle the problems, a dual-stream temporal-domain information interaction neural convolution network (Dual Scale Temporal Interactive Convolution Neural Network, DSTICNN) network is constructed to process micro-expression sequences and realize the automatic recognition of micro-expression. By improving the deep mutual learning strategy to guide the network to learn different temporal domain information of the same image sequence, the final recognition rate can be improved.
