During the research we examine the ecological networks and basic responses like the time and duration of phenological and developmental stages of plants. In addition to the real light laboratories built in two villages near the protected areas comparative experiments have beeen started to compare LED light sources considering their effect on living organisms. One of these examinations is the paralell experiment in climate chambers Memmert 110 with different LED colour temperatures. The fragments of Climacium dendroides and Hypnum cupressiforme and water samples of Egerszalók thermal water was treated with different illumination time and colour temperatures. The results show that samples derived from the same habitat have different growing and developing characterisctics and in some cases damage of the cells can be observed in plants. The fragments of bryophytes show different developing stages under the two colour temperatures. The yellow, warm light induce less damaging effect than the cool white LED light sources. The project was supported by the project „Developing international Research Environment in the area of Light pollution” EFOP 362-16-201700014.","PeriodicalId":235732,"journal":{"name":"Acta Biologica Plantarum Agriensis","volume":"74 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131193319","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the case of deceased persons, biographical data are also given. - The Hungarian version of this study (Balogh 2022) was published as a chapter of the volume Protected plants of Vas County (Kulcsár et al. 2022), the foreword of which was written by academician Tamás Pócs, the greatest scientist alive today in researching the flora and vegetation of Vas County. Mosses are no exception, and recent studies using DNA sequencing have revealed diverse communities in several lineages of bryophytes. In this pilot study, we provide the first characterization fungal communities in Sphagnum species in Hungary, based on ITS2 rDNA sequences generated from living and dead parts of the same individuals. Our results show that fungi from a wide variety of functional groups are found in or on Sphagnum mosses. Of these, plant pathogens (25 genera) and soil saprotrophs (17 genera) tend to dominate in terms of diversity and litter and wood saprotrophs ectomycorrhizal fungi and foliar endophytes with respect to abundance. Fungi with the highest DNA sequence abundance included well-known bryophilous taxa, such as Galerina hybrida and G. tibiicystis (Agaricales, Basidiomycota) as well as several Hyaloscypha species (Helotiales, Ascomycota). Of these, the above-mentioned Galerina species are known to be specific to Sphagnum . We also several of forty sequence types. community we observed some differences between living and dead parts within peat moss individuals, certain microhabitat specificity. The shrub community was divided into low (lower than 1.0 m in height) and high shrub layer (≥ 1.0 m). The goals of this study were to determine the conditions of shrub layer and analyse the possible changes in the shrub layer after 4 decades of the serious oak decline. In 2017, 17 shrub species were continuously observed in the understory. The density of shrub layer was 25,103 specimens ha-1. The significant part of shrubs lived (91.6%) in the low shrub layer, with only a small part of them (8.4%) forming the high shrub layer. The most common species of the shrub community was Euonymus verrucosus with 1989 shoots in the monitoring plot. The mean height and mean diameter of the high shrub species changed between 1.29-8.74 m and between 0.81-9.61 cm. The mean cover of the high shrub species changed between 0.56 m2 and 12.67 m2. Our results suggest that three woody species, Acer campestre, Acer tataricum and Cornus mas responded successfully to the oak decline.","PeriodicalId":235732,"journal":{"name":"Acta Biologica Plantarum Agriensis","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134432568","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some of the chemical compounds found in bryophytes can affect the vegetative growth and reproduction of nearby plants. However, a few studies discussed their function in other types of abiotic stresses such as salt stress. The aim of this research was to identify and quantify sugars which participate in the response to exogenous NaCl of three bryophyte species, namely model moss Physcomitrella patens and bryo-halophytes Entosthodon hungaricus and Hennediella heimii . Besides quantification of sugar content by HPLC-PAD analysis, the aim was to reveal localization of complex sugars in the protonema and phylloid cells using histochemical staining method. Among 23 sugars and sugar alcohols tested, monosaccharides glucose and fructose and disaccharides sucrose were present in the highest concentrations in each tested species. During the exposure to NaCl, concentrations of sugars change in a species -specific manner. There are certain similarities between model moss and bryo-halophyte H. heimii such as increase of galactose, maltose, trehalose and galactitol, suggesting similarities in the mechanisms of salt resistance.
