To satisfy the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements of such flows over wireless communications, we enhance the 802.11 protocol to support the Earliest Deadline First (EDF) scheduling policy. Therefore, we develop a Markov chain based analysis modeling the backoff process of the EDF policy. Then, we propose to evaluate the performance of EDF in term of saturation throughput. Routing policies conflict among ASes may cause routing divergence in Internet. Several research efforts analyze BGP convergence by describing BGP routing mechanism statically and designating BGP events in artificial sequence. In this paper, we present a stochastic high-level petri net model of simple path vector protocol, which conforms to the event-driven property of BGP. In the paper, a novel scheme about semi-blind channel estimation and decoding is presented as follows: the bit information (extrinsic) from the channel decoder is fed back to the channel estimation to suppress the ISI (inter- symbol interference) effectively so that the estimation can provide more reliable information to the channel decoder for the next iteration. Through iterations, more reliable information can be exchanged between the estimation and decoder. The paper is focused on the influence of Internet and broadband services’ penetration to the adoption of e-learning. Therefore, the investigation of the existence of correlation between broadband penetration rate and broadband use for e-learning is the main purpose of the paper. The broadband use was comprehensively studied, respecting population density and household income. Similarly the Internet use was investigated respecting education level and age. Particularly, as far as education is concerned, Internet use for education and training purposes was studied respecting formal education activities, e-learning, and the educational use of Internet at places of education and at enterprises for the education and training of their employees.
