The goal was to understand the fate of MPs within BSFL, considering their potential for waste conversion polluted with MPs. Methods BSFL were exposed to two types of MPs, and their growth, development, potential accumulation and excretion of MPs were monitored. Results The findings revealed that the MPs accumulated solely in the larval gut and had no adverse effects on the growth and development of BSFL. Larvae efficiently excreted MPs before reaching the pupation stage. Conclusion This research emphasizes the potential of BSFL as a bioconversion agent for organic waste, even in the presence of MPs. The effective excretion of MPs by BSFL before pupation suggests their ability to mitigate potential harm caused by MP accumulation. The fact that BSFL may excrete MPs before pupation would contribute to their safe use as animal feedstock. A careful evaluation of the effects of using BSFL reared on contaminated substrates especially containing visually non-detectable residuals like nanoplastics, chemicals or toxic metals and further examination of the broader implications for waste management and sustainable livestock farming remains important. Incubation temperature (25 °C), yeast extract concentration, agitation speed (150 rpm), and aeration ratio [1 volume (liquid):5 volume (Erlenmeyer flask)] provoked ALK-PR23 production; OVAT inferences. The pH, yeast extract, and (NH 4 ) 2 SO 4 levels substantively triggered ALK-PR23 production as deduced from Plackett–Burman design. Incubation time (3 days) and WB [2% (w/v)] were the optimal values inducing positive significant influence on ALK-PR23 as conferred from steepest ascent experiments. Yeast extract (0.446% w/v), (NH 4 ) 2 SO 4 (0.339% w/v), and pH (6.872) prompted ALK-PR23 (592.5 U/mL) with an impressive 98-fold enhancement; Box-Behnken design and ridge steepest ascent path implications. The laboratory validation of the model achieved 100% of the predicted value. Laboratory data would present an eco-friendly, cheap, efficient approach towards concurrent WB recycling and massive production of alkaline protease (ALK-PR23) from L. sphaericus Strain AA6 EMCCN3080 . Present data would greatly encourage unveiling biochemical characteristics of ALK-PR23 in prospective studies. Flax straw is considered as an agricultural waste of organic origin, which has a high sorption capacity and a low thermal conductivity potential due to its natural porosity. Investigations on sorption moisture, thermal conductivity and mechanical properties under laboratory conditions have allowed us to develop a perspective building material suitable for use in ‘green’ construction, especially in rural areas, due to the relative accessibility of the base component. Liquid glass is proposed as a binder. The optimal composition of the filler and binder, sorption moisture, thermal conductivity and surface mapping of the proposed material were investigated. The thermal conductivity reached a minimum value of 0.0728 W m −1 K −1 at relative humidity of 50% during desorption, which is highly competitive to the values for conventional insulation materials on an organic basis. The binder was visually distributed evenly over the surface according to the SEM analysis. Corresponding to the spectral analysis by chemical elements, Na and SiO 2 in total showed 17.69% quantity volume on the composite surface of 2–5 μm in depth.
