The molecules behave differently at each phase. The parameters like refractive index, optical polarization, dielectric constant, switching times and other physical parameters are different in different Liquid Crystal Phases. For the purpose of studying the electro-optic properties of Liquid Crystals, a specially fabricated surface stabilized glass cell was imported from USA with 5 micrometers separation. One of the critical components for studying the electro-optic properties of liquid crystals is the sample cell. The electro-optic switching properties of 8OBA-n and 9OBA-n are studied for signals of frequencies from 30 Hz to 2 MHz.","PeriodicalId":234041,"journal":{"name":"2016 Thirteenth International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124348641","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Keeping this in mind, we studied the origin of study from coordinate notations. Three commonly used coordinates systems are namely; Cartesian, Cylindrical and Spherical coordinate system. In Cartesian coordinate system notations for representing any point P are (x, y, z), which is unique at worldwide, simple and lead no confusion. But the problem arises when cylindrical and spherical coordinate systems are used. Notations of these two coordinate systems are different in various literatures and create confusion among readers most of the time. This paper mainly focus on the conventions used in electromagnetic (EM) theory which induce unwillingness of study among students in this EM related subjetcs. It also expalin an alternative to improve its understanding in terms of increasing simplicity in the notations. This study is supported by a survey conducted across various university colleges students and faculties. We used an animation softwares for explaining physics behind the mathematics. We do not shy to illustrate basic concepts of coordinate system in detail using simple notations in 3D and hand-drawn images.","PeriodicalId":234041,"journal":{"name":"2016 Thirteenth International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"192 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124271957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Software effort estimation is the initial phase between the client and the business enterprise. So the association begins with effort estimation. Trustworthiness increases accurate estimation. Organizations turned toward GSD because it benefits with shorter development cycle. This paper presents a preliminary study of the consequences of intercultural factors. GSD involves geographical, temporal and sociocultural distances which affects communication, coordination and control of development processes. This paper deals with parameters for accurate estimation using Scheduling based method and also recommends few ideas for future research.","PeriodicalId":234041,"journal":{"name":"2016 Thirteenth International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126890221","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper we firstly discuss about different types types of network, protocols extra i.e Network such as Direct network, hierarchical network etc and protocols like LEACH, PEGASIS. Next in this paper we deployed sensor nodes randomly in the grid network, We focus on data aggregation in different type of situation known as critical zone, in critical zone(critical grid) senor nodes are heavily loaded with information. Our objective is to maximize the data generation rate of sensor nodes. To got this objective we form different integer linear programming formulation. Transmission of signals is achieved by modulating red, green and blue (RGB) light emitting diodes (LEDs) and transmitting all three wavelengths over free space optical (FSO) channel after subcarrier multiplexing (SCM) of 64-QAM-OFDM signals on two RF carriers. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated for a free space distance under the effect of weak as well as strong scintillations. Data transmission with bit error rates under pre-FEC limit (3.8×10-3) is achieved up to 1.2 meters through the proposed VLC system.","PeriodicalId":234041,"journal":{"name":"2016 Thirteenth International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130587558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An optical fiber carries light along its length path at high rates and with little loss. Several wavelengths on a single fiber can be used to transfer data, when using wavelength-division multiplexing. In this way, several data transmissions at very high speed can take place on a single fiber. The routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) problem consists of finding a path and a wavelength for a set of data connections. The objective is typically to maximize the profit of established data by achieving as much as possible lightpath for transmitting optical signal (max-RWA). The RWA is NP-hard, thus much research has been conducted to finding a good way of approaching the RWA. This work mainly focuses on the analyzes work RWA problem based on integer linear programming (ILP) and reliable heuristics for variant topology of WDM networks. For performance analysis heuristics method as well as others variants of solution for RWA problem also had been implemented which results give some interesting observation about resources as well as optimal solution.","PeriodicalId":234041,"journal":{"name":"2016 Thirteenth International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126093394","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
