The purpose of AMS experiment is to look for the source of the dark matter, source of the cosmic ray and the universe made of antimatter. The characteristics of AMS experiment are massive data and complicated computing. The data are frequently transmitted, retrieved and processed among the computing nodes located in USA, Europe and China. In this talk, speaker introduces the grid platform implemented at Southeast University, called SEUGrid, for the AMS data storage, processing and analysis. Some key technologies such as the scheduling strategy, resource management, data replica management and semantic access control, which SEUGrid adopts to fit the AMS data processing, are proposed. And all mobile nodes are highly energy dependent as they use batteries with a limited capacity. Because of their physical portability, they can be used even when they move. This may require using different wireless networks while the node is moving. In order to provide users with the best possible services within the available resources, there is a demand to develop an intelligent mechanism to manage these limited resources. In this article, a context-aware middleware architecture is proposed to provide satisfactory services to end users of mobile nodes. However one major disadvantage of OFDM is that the time domain OFDM signal which is a sum of several sinusoids leads to a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). High PAPR can cause non linear distortion of the signal at the transmitter (in-band and out-of-band distortion). Number of techniques have been proposed in the literature for the reduction of the high PAPR of the OFDM signal. But most of these techniques are unable to achieve simultaneously a large reduction in PAPR, with low complexity, with low coding overhead and without performance degradation. In this paper a new technique 'low crest mapping (LCM)' is proposed for reduction of PAPR in OFDM Systems. This new technique is a simple and novel one without any increase in bandwidth and no in-band and out-of-band distortions apart from its simplicity. Simulation results show a considerable reduction in the PAPR when the low crest mapping (LCM) is applied to a sample of four/eight sub carriers with BPSK modulation","PeriodicalId":232800,"journal":{"name":"2006 First International Symposium on Pervasive Computing and Applications","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132356035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The services must be invoked automatically according to perceived user demands in the contexts in which they are living. Ideally, alternative assistance should be offered as appropriate and fed back into users' mobility settings. We argue that single devices or systems cannot by themselves meet these requirements. An innovative approach is required so that the increasingly specialised devices can be supported by an ad hoc infrastructure for dynamic, non-text reading services. This is a critical prerequisite for developing smart care for users.
