Inspired by the idea of combined concept lattices, this paper gives an approach to construct the concept lattice of a many-valued context. The many-valued context can be firstly transformed to many formal contexts according to the number of attributes. Then, a Galois connection is established to obtain a concept lattice, which can be considered as the lattice of the many-valued context. Finally, we show that the lattice obtained by such method is a subset of the lattice of combined context of those formal contexts.","PeriodicalId":228516,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114868116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this forecasting system, local feature selection is first used to find the proper feature subset for regional load forecasting. Then, the typical regional load patterns are obtained by partial feature clustering. Lastly, independent regional load forecasting models are established by using fuzzy inference based on these local typical load patterns. The performance of this method is proved to be satisfactory by a case study in Jiangning city of China.","PeriodicalId":228516,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131885399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the buses of the GIS are the merging points of the power lines, with the large capacitance between its inner buses and casing interacting with the inductance of the main transformer, switching operations may generate large voltage and current surges and following-up residual voltages which will adversely affect the internal components of the GIS such as the potential transformer. This paper first applies the Electromagnetic Transients Program/Alternative Transients Program (EMTP / ATP) to construct the model of GIS and then analyzes the voltage and current surges caused by switching operations. The analysis includes both common and special switching operations, as well as synchronous and asynchronous three-phase switching operations. Finally, suggestions are made for future improvement strategies based on the analysis and evaluation on the effects of the switching surges of the GIS.","PeriodicalId":228516,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130894644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The idea is inspired by the observation that human could carve a 3D object according to a few number of 2D images collected from multiple cameras. First, human action sequences are captured simultaneously by 3 web cameras. Then 3 normalized binary human silhouettes are obtained by a series of preprocessing steps. Finally, the 3D posture in the virtual coordinate is reconstructed according to 2D silhouettes of 3 different views.
