An observational study was conducted at the University of Basrah College of Dentistry between the first of July 2022 and the first of April 2023. The study involved patients who consented to participate and provided written informed consent. Ethical clearance was granted by the institution's Ethics Committee, and 348 participants were randomly selected from dental clinics to respond to the questionnaire. Forty per cent of the study participants were aged between 20-29, with 146 (41.9%) being male and 202 (58.1%) being female. One hundred and sixty-six (33.3%) of the patients were housewives, 324 (92%) were low to moderate-income earners, and 199 (57%) lived in the city center, while 149 (42.8%) lived in district and subdistrict areas. Two hundred and forty (68.9%) of patients felt that the treatment was either cheap or too cheap. Regarding the waiting room, patients were generally satisfied with all aspects except for the waiting time, with 290 (83.3%) finding it too long. An average of 88.3% of patients were satisfied with the treatment provided by the students, but only 64.4% were satisfied with the length of the treatment period. Only 28 (8%) of patients experienced postoperative complications, with 13 related to dental treatment and 12 expected. Additionally, 24 patients reported their complications to the students, while 12 patients experienced unexpected complications. Finally, 45.4% of patients returned to the college for further treatments.: While the patient expressed dissatisfaction with the long waiting and treatment times, most respondents expressed satisfaction with the treatment received, but improvements are necessary in certain areas.","PeriodicalId":22689,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of Community Health Management","volume":"51 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139437323","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the syndrome is an iatrogenic condition brought on by elective ovarian stimulation in the pursuit of pregnancy, its complete prevention is imperative. The gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist Cetrorelix has been shown in some studies to be beneficial in the prevention of OHSS as well as an effective treatment for the condition. Therefore, we created a study at a hospital to find out how Cetrorelix works to prevent and treat OHSS in patients undergoing long and short protocols for those undergoing embryo transfer and in-vitro fertilization (IVF–ET) who are susceptible to the illness.The study includes 102 patients undergoing COS for IVF in total. To stimulate each case, a long and a short protocol were employed. Depending on whether a GnRH antagonist was administered following ovum pick-up (OPU), the patients were split into two groups: the control group (n = 51) and the Cetrorelix (antagonist) group (n = 51). Beginning on the day of ovum pickup, the study group received five days' worth of Cetrorelix 0.25 mg.: While the antagonist group had a significantly higher moderate OHSS incidence (p=0.01), the incidence between mild and severe OHSS was considerably reduced(p<0.05). Not a single patient experienced critical OHSS. OHSS can be prevented and treated effectively by administering the GnRH antagonist Cetrorelix to patients undergoing either a long- or short-term protocol during the early luteal phase.","PeriodicalId":22689,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of Community Health Management","volume":"54 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139437174","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fundamental paradigm is compartmental modelling, which classifies people into categories such as susceptible, latent, active, and recovered. Extensions and variations in this model can be utilized to capture intricate details. To research TB transmission dynamics, structural models including age-structured, agent-based, stochastic, SEIR, spatial, drug-resistant, vaccination, contact tracking, and treatment models are employed. Populations are divided into age groups by age-structured models, intricate interactions are shown by agent-based models, disease outbreaks are simulated by stochastic models, social networks are considered by SEIR models, and treatment success rates are considered by treatment models. Real-world mathematical simulations of TB transmission in public health settings offer useful tools for comprehending TB dynamics, making decisions, allocating resources, and assisting in the reduction and eradication of tuberculosis.","PeriodicalId":22689,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of Community Health Management","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135486762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The strain is directly proportional to the duration of digital screen exposure (screens of mobiles, computers, laptops, tablets). Digital Eye Strain is characterized by dry eyes, itching, foreign body sensation, watering, blurring of vision, and headache. According to the American Optometric Association, the usage of digital devices continuously for two hours is adequate to bring in digital eye strain. The increased time spent on the electronic and digital gadgets is the sole contributor of DES. It is estimated that the a person spends nearly 4.5–7 hours a day on the computer/cell phones either at the office or at home. Management options for DES are symptoms-based and include a holistic and comprehensive approach, from the management of refractive errors and ocular surface dryness to providing workplace recommendations to improve visual comfort. Lubricating drops may reduce dry eye symptoms such as dryness, irritation, ocular discomfort, tiredness. Blinking exercises can also help in DES.","PeriodicalId":22689,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of Community Health Management","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135485843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A community-based cross-sectional observation on health service utilization was carried out among the vulnerable Saharia tribe in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh. The data was gathered by skilled investigators from influencing community members during August to October 2020. Relevant information’s was collected from 212 respondents from 40 villages. Out of 40 village, 16(40%) of which were health facility villages located <5 km radius of health centers i.e. PHCs, SHCs and HWCs, and 24(60%) from non-health facility villages located >5 km radius of any of these health centers. The study found that three common barriers emerged; majorly as lack of awareness, misconception of child immunization and inadequate behavior of health care workers in both health facility village (located<5 km radius of health centers) and non-health facility village(located>5 km radius of health centers). Further, these barriers are considerably affected in non-health facility village along with the public transportation facility and poor road conditions (45.3%) in comparison to health facility villages’ (32.1%). Identified barriers in accessing health care facility is more startling in non-health facility villages as compared to health facility villages. These explored barriers need to be minimized through effective implementation research and strategy among vulnerable community in favor of achieving universal health coverage (UHC) particular in rural and remote regions.","PeriodicalId":22689,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of Community Health Management","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135486763","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

People continually and gradually age day to day throughout these stages. Old age is the final stage of human existence. The traditional threshold between middle age and old age is sixty. During the period of old age, the elderly face many illnesses and degenerative diseases. Pain is defined as an unwanted sensation that occurs with varying degrees of severity as a result of illness, injury, or emotional disturbance. But pain is more than an unpleasant sensation. Overall 654.1% million individuals with knee Osteoarthritis in 2020 worldwide. According to a similar finding reported in release, India is likely to notice an endemic of Osteoarthritis with 80% of the patients above 65 years population suffering from wear and tear of joints Osteoarthritis. In Tamil Nadu 43.4% of the elderly population had a complaint of joint pains and stiffness. An aim of the study is to reduce the level of knee joint pain among elderly in selected villages at Madurai district. A quasi experimental research using one group pre-test post-test was conducted with simple random sample of 60 elderly. A modified structure questioner on knee joint pain scale was developed by the researcher to assess level of knee joint pain among elderly. Need based awareness programme in kaithirinagar and also ready the pamphlet on knee joint pain which includes definition, causes, signs and symptoms, and management. This tool will take a part in the future health of the elderly. The Participants or study of the study Maximum 30(50%) belongs to age group of 60-65 Years.
