This resulted in two versions of a generic adaptive filter update equation which we in this paper use in deriving general explicit expressions for the learning curve, the steady state excess mean square error (EMSE) and the steady state mean square coefficient deviation (MSD) that are applicable to many families of adaptive filter algorithms. Given a pair of stereo images, the information needed to recover the right frame is embedded into the left frame. Thus, storage and bandwidth requirements are halved. The proposed approach relies on the embedding capacity of the reversible watermarking. Compared with simple stereo image pair compression, the proposed approach has the advantage that the content of the image remains available without additional manipulations. Furthermore, the use of reversible watermarking allows the exact recovery of the left frame. If the reversible watermarking provides enough data hiding bit-rate, the right frame is exactly recovered, too. The real target is to decrease the computational complexity by using the proposed identification scheme. A filter bank is used to decompose the input signal into several components, which are then used as input sequence for an adaptive algorithm. RLS is used as adaptive algorithm; current implementations require a computational complexity that exponentially grows with the number of parameters. Three sets of functions are used as impulse responses for the filter bank: rectangular, orthogonalized exponential and triangular functions. Important facilities concerning the preprocessing, analysis, data visualization are considered for medical investigations. The possibility to integrate open source components, dedicated components, developed using different technologies and platforms will represent the target of the future work. The digital capture of such radiography with a consumer-grade digital still camera significantly decreases the dynamic range to some 48dB. We propose a method that boosts the dynamic range, by the combining a set of digital images of the same Xray, acquired under different exposure values. The fusion of the acquired images is performed according to a weighting scheme derived from the confidence information extracted from an experimentally derived digital still camera response function. However, as we all know, although OFDM can combat timing errors, it is very sensitive to carrier frequency offset (CFO). For a conventional MIMO-OFDM system, only one CFO exists and its effect can be easily compensated. But for cooperative communication, the CFO between each relay and destination may be different. These multiple CFO make frequency compensation difficult if not impossible. This paper proposes an equalization scheme with its simplified form for SF codes to combat multiple CFO. The performance of these schemes were previously analyzed by the authors over independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) Rayleigh fading channels. In this paper, we consider an exponentially decaying power delay profile among paths along with an exponential correlation among these paths. The effect of outdated/imperfect channel estimations is also evaluated. In this paper, we test its ability for texture analysis, in order to provide a new texture classification method. From the multitude of the existing algorithms, we have chosen FastICA, a version based on the forth order statistics of the analyzed signal. By FastICA, a texture is decomposed in a weighted sum of components with a rather high degree of independence. Each component is further described by means of its negentropy, which is a measure of the nongaussianity.
