For the realization of theoretical-empirical framework are adopted the Dunning Typologies, the Nordic School and the Cultural Dimensions of Hofstede. For this, two pilot cases of competing companies that have very similar characteristics in terms of organizational structure are analyzed. This study evidenced to what extent strategic alignment is goal-oriented in terms of: (i) exploitation of natural resources and cost advantages of unskilled labor; (Ii) location seeking advantages and market synergies; (Iii) investments oriented to the search for strategic assets of the type efficiency seeking (those that seek to rationalize production and explore economies of specialization and location); (Iv) strategic asset seeking investments (aimed at the acquisition of resources and competences with the objective of increasing their competitiveness through innovation and growth of strategic capacities).","PeriodicalId":224994,"journal":{"name":"Future Studies Research Journal: Trends and Strategies","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125588283","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sometimes businesses have even gone to the extreme of selling only the “benefit” of the physical good as a service, while retaining ownership of the service-supporting good, such as the Xerox copier in your office. This movement is frequently referred to as “servitization” (Baines et al. 2009), which is sometimes illustrated by the popular saying: “people don't want to buy a quarter-inch drill. They want a quarter-inch hole.” We argue that, with servitization, because the supplying company retain ownership of the physical good supporting the service provided, the company is incentivized to put increased efforts, from design to disposal of the physical good, into designing in processes that will maximize the value that can be recouped from the good after the end of its economic life. This would be consistent with efforts toward increased sustainability in supply chains. In the traditional transactional sale of physical goods companies does not have an incentive to make decisions aimed at keeping the value of the product throughout its economic life. Companies would not be interested in extending its economic life either, or even being concerned about how reusable, remanufacture-able, refurbish-able or recyclable the product is. This has implications for the level of environmental sustainability achieved.","PeriodicalId":224994,"journal":{"name":"Future Studies Research Journal: Trends and Strategies","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123632754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research was descriptive and quantitative, and it was conducted in a soft drink Industry, in Brazil. Hypotheses (n=9) were raised and was applied a questionnaire for 310 employees, considering the constructs: Internal Communication, Trust in the Co-workers, Trust in the Manager, Organizational Identity and Performance. The results showed that the hypotheses H1, H3 and H7 were confirmed. The higher the organizational identification, the greater will be the trust in the manager and the performance. In H4, the study confirmed that there is a lower influence of the Internal Communication on Performance. Thus, the Internal Communication does not support the Performance. Although the direct effect on Performance is contrary (-0.139), the indirect effect was positive (0.476), generating a total effect of 0.337.","PeriodicalId":224994,"journal":{"name":"Future Studies Research Journal: Trends and Strategies","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126459591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The success of investment projects is determined by a set of techniques that must be applied so as not to compromise the viability of the project. When this viability is surrounded by uncertainties, a useful alternative to knowing the risks is the use of the Monte Carlo method. The present work aims to address the risk factors in a company of the furniture sector, using the Monte Carlo simulation to analyze the viability of this project. The methodology adopted was developed from a case study, through an exploratory research. The results showed that the investment project is viable, estimating a return between the 4th and 5th year of the project, in addition, the balance after the 10 years of investment would be around R$ 4,128,211.63, a value that represents 161.25% of the initial investment.","PeriodicalId":224994,"journal":{"name":"Future Studies Research Journal: Trends and Strategies","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114164743","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sector has always been characterized by being very dynamic and pioneering in the development of new technologies, be they related to the production system or product. The pillar of this industry was built under the model of private ownership of vehicles. This scenario began to change most notably from the economic crisis of 2008 with the emergence and popularization of asset sharing platforms, which can shift vehicle ownership around the vehicle as a service. This paper focus on the future of the vehicle distribution industry in Brazil. The objective is to explore and analyze possible prospective scenarios for this industry in the country in 2040. Four scenarios were developed around the driving forces technological development and consumer behavior - Democratization of mobility, Consumer turnaround, Nothing new and Where we will stop. The study concludes that there is no doubt that the evolution of the industry is occurring and the disruption coming. While there is no certainty in any future forecast, it is quite clear that today's dealership model - based primarily on selling one vehicle at a time to individuals and then servicing those cars in their workshops - will not leave unscathed in a world of sharing, electrified, connected and autonomous vehicles.","PeriodicalId":224994,"journal":{"name":"Future Studies Research Journal: Trends and Strategies","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123688330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Assim, torna ainda mais importante a atencao quanto a volatilidade do preco internacional do trigo, a fim de compreender melhor o comportamento e a transmissibilidade do preco para um planejamento mais eficiente dos agentes na cadeia produtiva. Nesse sentido, este estudo tem por objetivo analisar a volatilidade e a transmissao do preco do trigo internacional para os precos domesticos desse grao e seus derivados no Brasil. Para atingir o objetivo, utilizaram-se testes estatisticos, como estatistica descritiva, teste de raiz unitaria de ADF, teste de cointegracao e aplicacao do modelo VEC. Como resultado, verificou-se uma correlacao forte e positiva do preco do trigo brasileiro com os precos do trigo norte-americano (0,92), e moderada e positiva com os precos do trigo argentino (0,68). No curto prazo, o modelo VEC indicou que uma hipotetica variacao de 1% no preco do trigo argentino levaria a um aumento de 1,34%, no preco do trigo brasileiro, e a variacao de 1% no preco do trigo norte-americano, ampliaria em 1,29% a variacao do preco da farinha de trigo no Brasil. Em suma, concluiu-se que sao fortes as evidencias de transmissao dos precos internacionais do trigo para os precos domesticos do trigo e derivados no Brasil.","PeriodicalId":224994,"journal":{"name":"Future Studies Research Journal: Trends and Strategies","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132406541","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Coming into to the discussion in the recent years, called semi open innovation, this modality of innovation has been referenced as one that uses external knowledge, however considers that this knowledge is not a crucial element for the development of innovation. In this present study, semi-open innovation is characterized when the innovation process meets specific conditions of particular set of technologies and companies bounded by the local conditions. Design/Methodology/Approach: it refers to a qualitative study, supported by case studies. Findings: It was observed that the existence of a local Scientific and Technology Institute is a reason to define the location to produce, but did not find evidences of a large use of STI resources or with other local researchers for a product development. We could not clearly identify real open innovation model in practice. However, the proximity of a technological education and University of great national reputation, in addition to providing skilled labour, becomes a source of knowledge that should be used more frequently. Conclusions pointed out that there is a restricted support given by STI. The cases show that two firms practice an open innovation mode. In one case we conclude it refers to semi-open innovation practice.","PeriodicalId":224994,"journal":{"name":"Future Studies Research Journal: Trends and Strategies","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129317865","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
