The simulated dielectric responses in the time domain of oil-paper insulation with various conditions were studied. Lumped equivalent circuit, so-celled extended Debye model, for modeling the oil-paper insulation obtained from simulated results, were estimated by using ohm’s law for conduction current, and a curve fitting technique with exponential functions applied to the depolarization current idep(t). The complex capacitance, conductivity loss factor, and interfacial polarization loss factor of the insulation system in the frequency domain from 0.01 mHz to 1 Hz can be calculated.","PeriodicalId":224375,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th International Conference on Engineering, Applied Sciences and Technology (ICEAST)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125179699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This project focuses on designing a novel infrared (IR) camera-based alcohol detection system with deep learning technology. This system consists of 2 parts. The first part is an infrared camera (FLIR) used for collecting both IR and normal images then the next part is an image processing system for alcohol detection based on deep learning technology operating on an iPhone operating system (iOS) mobile phone. Our handheld IR based detection system achieves an accuracy of 85.10% (135 population) accuracy with 4 levels of classification (sober, 1 glass, 2 glasses, or 3 glasses) and 74.07% with binary identification (Sober or Drunk). All of the symptoms lead to the destruction of retina resulting in reduced visibility or finally lose vision. Therefore, this study presents an image processing method to extract hard exudates in the retinal image, which is a serious symptom of diabetic retinopathy using an unsupervised classification method. The proposed hard exudates extraction method composes of 3 steps. Firstly, the optic disc similar to hard exudate is eliminated from the retinal image. Subsequently, the green channel of the RGB color model is selected for data analysis because it represents all hard exudates better than the red and blue channels. The features of hard exudates in the retinal image are then extracted by various methods such as dilation, erosion, entropy analysis, and standard deviation analysis and it also appeared in many dimensions. Finally, the proposed method uses k-mean, which is an unsupervised classification technique for hard exudates clustering. The determination of hard exudates from the retinal image is achieved using two datasets (DIARETDB0 and DIARETDB1). These datasets are usually used for algorithm efficiency analysis to retinal image evaluation. The results show that the maximum specificity is approximate 97%. It indicates that the proposed method can be applied for the automatic detection of diabetic retinopathy.","PeriodicalId":224375,"journal":{"name":"2020 6th International Conference on Engineering, Applied Sciences and Technology (ICEAST)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125491325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
