In this new iteration, there are many questions. Has leadership become too multidimensional? Will it be collaborative and inclusive resulting in service to local people producing positive advances for society and the environment? Will it be more focused on building relationships or an autocratic approach? The new shape suggests hierarchical leaders will need to re-examine their approach. Leaders may not be able to drive innovation by a blind delegation of responsibilities for communication and diversity but rather leaders will be obliged to break down walls and create open communication.","PeriodicalId":224286,"journal":{"name":"Global Business in the Age of Transformation","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127967616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this environment, it is no wonder that regulatory systems are challenged. The World Trade Organization, World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund were created to establish a framework for economic cooperation and development with the central theme of creating a stable and prosperous global economy. The goals of these organizations remain the same, but their work is constantly changing. The technologically driven disruption in economic models, the emergence of developing economies, and changing financial systems present an evolutionary environment that requires challenging solutions. The question for consideration is, are the world’s regulators up to the challenge?","PeriodicalId":224286,"journal":{"name":"Global Business in the Age of Transformation","volume":"119 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132977064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
