Increased bandwidth can alleviate data congestion. To meet the above demand a rectangular U-slotted Ultrawideband (UWB) dual notch antenna with a half cut ground structure is introduced in this work. The UWB is achieved by connecting the radiator via steps type structure having a dimension of 1mm around the radiator's edges. Furthermore, the ground plane is lowered, with horizontal slits etched on it. The radiator and ground plane modifications aid in achieving a larger impedance bandwidth. The UWB antenna has an overall geometry of 40 x 30 x 1.6 mm3. The projected UWB antenna operates in the frequency range of 2.6-3.9 GHz with greater than 3.2 dB gain across the impedance bandwidth. To achieve the notching in the design a U-shaped slot is carved in the radiator. This modification leads to dual notch frequency band ranging from 3.8-5.3 GHz and 6.2-7.3 GHz, thereby covering WiMAX and Satellite band. The time-domain features are also examined, and group delay is found to be less than 1 ns across the operational frequency except at the notch band. The simulated and measured results are in line and assure the designed antenna appropriate for UWB applications.","PeriodicalId":22345,"journal":{"name":"Telecommunications and Radio Engineering","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135798512","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed antenna has a compact design size of 20 × 28 mm<sup>2</sup> and a distinctive slotted patch configuration printed on a FR-4 substrate. The described antenna has a fractional bandwidth of 130% and an S<sub>11</sub> value of less than -10 dB across 3.1-14.52 GHz. The radiator was practically fabricated, and the experimental findings concurred well with the results obtained from the simulation. Installing global positioning system (GPS) modules with the sensor node hardware is not a cost-effective solution for knowing the location coordinates. This has lead to rigorous research in defining nascent localization techniques for wireless sensor networks. But, the existing localization techniques use more number of anchor nodes to compute the location coordinates of sensor nodes, and the network deployment becomes costly. This article presents a low complex, range-based localization algorithm called gauss-newton multilateration that uses received signal strength indicator (RSSI) values of the anchor nodes' signals received at the target nodes. The proposed algorithm uses only four static anchor nodes, which are deployed at the corners of the network terrain to locate the sensor nodes with localization accuracy of 90.21% and increased up to 98.59%. Based on the results obtained, the proposed algorithm provides higher localization accuracy, and it is well suited for locating sensor nodes with high accuracy in large scale wireless sensor networks.","PeriodicalId":22345,"journal":{"name":"Telecommunications and Radio Engineering","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135749718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study aims to develop an effective algorithm for factorizing the degree of such composite polynomials providing a minimum of computational complexity. The proposed algorithm is based on the solution of a system of two equations functionally related to the a priori unknown degree of the components of the compound polynomial. One of these equations reflects that the degree of the composite polynomial equals the sum of degrees of elements of this polynomial. The second equation is based on the so-called cycle period of the compound polynomial, which coincides with the least common multiple of the unknown degrees of the components of the compound polynomial. It is found that the expansion of the cycle period contains all the degrees of the factorizable compound polynomial. The computational volume reduction is achieved by switching from the linear scale of the multiplicative group of subtractions generated by the cycle period of the compound polynomial to the logarithmic scale.","PeriodicalId":22345,"journal":{"name":"Telecommunications and Radio Engineering","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135754311","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The efficient use of resources is a key goal of smart cities, and their integration with technology has improved productivity and dependability for urban infrastructure. In this paper, an efficient automated parking system integrating Internet of Things (IOT) and radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies is proposed. The proposed system is integrated with IOT hence the consumers can book the parking slots before arriving the destination which drastically reduce the time taken by the consumers in searching the parking slot. The proposed system effectively saves time for the consumers and also significantly provide solution for all the parking related issues faced by the management of flats, theatres, malls, hospitals etc. In management perspective, this system would help them for better use of their resources and reduce the amount of labour needed to maintain these parking lots. The automated parking system overcome the important issue of jamming near the gates of parking slots by smoothening the check in and check out process of vehicles. The RFID tags given to the drivers reduces the time for vehicle identification as it is done automatically. The proposed system avoids long queue at the gates, unnecessary traffic jam near the gates, reduces the time, and ensures security by allowing only the registered users identified through RFID tags. Thus the proposed system will be a sophisticated system for the consumers, drivers and a boon to mall owners and management","PeriodicalId":22345,"journal":{"name":"Telecommunications and Radio Engineering","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135159714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The antenna which has the potential to vary its frequency of operation, radiation pattern and polarization according to the requirement is known as reconfigurable antenna. Here a novel honeycomb structured frequency and pattern reconfigurable monopole antenna has been designed. Honey comb structure gives better bandwidth as it have multiple edges and angles of the hexagon allow for more efficient radiation and reception of electromagnetic waves and it offers symmetric radiation pattern .It is compact sized having higher packing density. A low cost FR-4 substrate with a thickness of 1.5 mm and a compact size of 25×42 mm2 is used in the design. The antenna can be operated in four modes using two PIN diodes. In mode 0 it can resonate at 2.4 GHz which is commonly used for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication. While in mode 1it operates at 2.8 GHz and 1.8GHz for mobile communication. In mode 2 it operates at 2.7 GHz as well as 1.8 GHz, and in mode 3, it works at 1.8 GHz and 3.6 GHz for WiMAX communication. This antenna has the peak gain value of 3.99 dBi. Thus by changing the geometry/structure, the antenna performance can be improved. The proposed design is fabricated on FR4 substrate material and the parameters such as return loss (S11) and bandwidth are validated. The simulated results and the measured results match well.","PeriodicalId":22345,"journal":{"name":"Telecommunications and Radio Engineering","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136257134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
