The number of deaths and infection confirms it, where Brazil is the second-worst country in the world. This article intends to describe and reflect on civil solidarity chains observed in marginalized segments of the society, more specifically favelas (slums) that, despite the abandonment of a neglecting State and the indifference of a population lacking civil spirit, are opening their fronts to combat the virus and the hunger by their own means.","PeriodicalId":222854,"journal":{"name":"Culture and Empathy: International Journal of Sociology, Psychology, and Cultural Studies","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115833224","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We will first look at the reasons for the success of Hallyu in France then discuss the different forms of empowerment stemmed from the consumption of Korean products, among young people (74 in depth-interviews with young fans aged 18-31) with no previous link with Korea, which nurture their biographical trajectories.","PeriodicalId":222854,"journal":{"name":"Culture and Empathy: International Journal of Sociology, Psychology, and Cultural Studies","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134020616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development of a hard science of emotions has involved, with every step ‘forward’, the forgetting of the previous step. Emotions are always what they are now, and whatever the natural sciences thought they were last week is no longer relevant. But, and this is the slowly falling hammer blow of Plamper’s book, changes in the status of what emotions are must have some diachronic effect on what emotions mean, how they are experienced, and what things are done in their name.","PeriodicalId":222854,"journal":{"name":"Culture and Empathy: International Journal of Sociology, Psychology, and Cultural Studies","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122447724","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the subunits like NCT 127, they set new trends in the aesthetics of music videos and in the music as well. NCT can be viewed as the most recent step in a long strategy for the development of new aesthetics and art forms to enrich the productions: they went from stage art towards a holistic integrative understanding of aesthetics integrating all art forms used in the creative process of production. The claim of pop art being art finds its manifestation in the opening of the SM Museum in 2018 which builds a canon of pop art forms via the exhibition of objects that range from albums, to costumes and to photographs.
