Quite often, there is little documentation describing a software system's architecture, especially in the case of legacy software systems. Thus techniques must be employed for recovering the architecture from the software's source code. Given the size and complexity of legacy systems, researchers have started exploring the use of automated techniques for architecture recovery. A technique that has shown promising results is clustering. Clusters that are obtained as a result of the clustering process represent sub-systems within a software system, but are nor easy to interpret until they are given appropriate names. In this paper, we present a cluster labeling scheme based on identifiers. As the clustering process proceeds, keywords are ranked using the inverse document frequency ranking scheme. Results of experiments conducted on a test system demonstrate that our labeling approach is effective. We also compare the clustering results of the complete algorithm and the weighted combined algorithm based on labels of the clusters produced by them during clustering.","PeriodicalId":222828,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE Symposium on Emerging Technologies, 2005.","volume":"445 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129239850","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mobility aware agent can update its awareness through inquiry and replv to inquiries about neighbors on quasi-periodic bases. But in our research, we found that there are big discrepancy between the real data and the distortion model based on Laplacian distribution. And what's more, the higher the rate is, the larger the distortion is. In this paper, we proposed a new distortion model based on mixed Laplacian and uniform distributions. Experiments' results show that the MLQ distortion model can approximate well the real empirical data and have a higher degree of accuracy than conventional distortion model based on Laplacian distribution. Compared with the conventional distortion model based on Laplacian distribution, the new model can decrease the MSE distortion by 2~6 units.
