Financing interventions of government would have ordinarily been a succor to change the narrative of ugly financial accessibility of SMEs, but, the level of accessibility and its relationship to SMEs have largely been understudied. Hence, this study seeks to examine the deficiencies in the government interventions to SMEs and present a workable financial intervention framework. Both primary and secondary data were used for this study. Primary data were gathered through the administration of questionnaires. Purposive sampling technique was adopted to select 100 registered SMEs in each of the six states of the Southwest Nigeria, while 100 unregistered SMEs were equally selected for inclusiveness totaling 700. The data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential analytical methods with the aid of SPSS. The study has documented the deficiencies of the previous interventions to include poor design of the programme, favoritism in the disbursement of financing facilities, low level of awareness of the facilities, difficulty in the procedures for accessing government financing support. The study population was 151 and made up of all persons that are involved in sales of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages manufactured in Nigeria. The major instrument for data collection was the questionnaire. The proxies for top management commitment were leadership, management involvement, management support and resource allocation. The instrument was administered to every member of the population out of which 142 copies of the questionnaire were completed and returned in useable form. Data collected were analyzed using percentage analysis and hypotheses formulated were tested using the multiple regression analysis. Findings from the study revealed that there is significant relationship between the top management variables (i.e. leadership, management involvement, management support and resource allocation) and salesforce performance. Based on the findings, it was concluded that top management commitment influences salesforce performance in the beverage manufacturing companies in Nigeria. Consequently, it is recommended, among other things, that top management should show leadership by driving improvement that will enhance sales through the performance of the sales team. Thus, sustaining a high-quality and stable healthcare services is vital for the healthcare sector. As for pharmaceutical companies’ human resource management, how to effectively augment employee retention becomes imperative since it not only improve organizational performance but also lessens personnel costs. In this paper, we employed structural equation modeling to assess the nexus between job embedded-ness, organizational commitment and intent to stay with company. The paper utilized work-life balance as the moderating variable between organizational commitment and employee intent to stay. The research participants were pharmaceutical personnel who had worked with the Federal Medical Centres in Nigeria for at least 5years. Results revealed that job embedded-ness has significant and positive effect on organizational commitment and employee intent to stay with company. Moreover, organizational commitment mediates the link between job embedded-ness and employee intent to stay with company. Additionally, work-life balance moderates employees’ intent to stay.
