Scots pine is more thermophilic and drought-resistant, while Siberian spruce is more hydrophilic and tolerates cooling better. In different seasons, both species accumulate water-soluble sugars (WSS) in their needles, which are one of the factors of cold and drought resistance of needles. The level of WSS accumulation in needles can be influenced by both factors determined by the tree species and territorial ones, associated with the climate of the growing region. For the first time, this study introduces a comparison of changes in WSS content in Scots pine and Siberian spruce growing in the south of Eastern Siberia during two annual cycles. During the observation period, winter 2015-2016 was colder than winter 2016-2017, and the growth period 2015 was warmer and wetter than the same period in 2016. WSS content in Scots pine needles was found to be less subject to fluctuations and, according to the results of most of the observations made, to be higher than in Siberian spruce needles both in more favorable and less favorable conditions for the physiological activity. The exception was the period of November-February 2015-2016 (when WSS content in the needles of both species was the same) and March-April 2016 (when it was higher in Siberian spruce needles). The ability of Scots pine to maintain higher WSS reserve in its needles is possibly one of the mechanisms that allow trees of this species to successfully compete with Siberian spruce and occupy larger territories under the extreme conditions of the south of Eastern Siberia.","PeriodicalId":21854,"journal":{"name":"Siberian Journal of Life Sciences and Agriculture","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43725610","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, it is necessary to improve the methods of prevention and treatment of anemia. To test new drugs for these purposes, it is necessary to create new models, including on laboratory animals. The aim of the study was to develop experimental models of iron deficiency (IDA) and hemolytic anemia (HA) on laboratory animals. The objects of the study were sexually mature male laboratory rats of the Wistar breed, aged 7 months and weighing 260 ± 20 g. 38 animals were involved in the experiment (for IDA n= 24, for HA n= 14). Laboratory animals were kept in the same external conditions for 3-4 individuals in a cage. To simulate IDA, rats were subcutaneously injected with the drug “Desferal”. To simulate GA, rats were intraperitoneally injected with the drug “Hydrochloric acid phenylhydrozine”. At each stage, blood was taken by cutting off the tip of the tail. A detailed blood test was performed on a hematological analyzer “Heska Element HT5”. As a result, it was found that when the drug “Desferal” was administered at concentrations of 125 and 250 mg / 100g per animal weight, hematological changes were observed in rats, such as an increase in red blood cells, platelets, leukocytes by stage 2 and a decrease to control values by stage 4. When the drug “Hydrochloric acid phenylhydrozine” was administered, hematological changes were detected in rats only within the experimental group. There was an increase in the indicators of erythrocytes, platelets, leukocytes by stages 2 and 3 and a decrease to control values by stage 4. Thus, when the studied drugs were administered in the presented dosages in vivo, a change in the hematological parameters of the blood was detected in the direction of an increase in their number due to adaptation to the effects of substances.","PeriodicalId":21854,"journal":{"name":"Siberian Journal of Life Sciences and Agriculture","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45008714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To create an excess of negative air ions, a Hippocrates ionizer (Enterprise Energia, Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia) was used. The exposure was carried out daily for 2 hours for 18-20 days. Wistar rats were used in the work. It was found that according to the open field test, under the influence of negative air ions, the level of indicators reflecting vertical and horizontal motor activity increased; decreased grooming rates and the number of bowel movements; the frequency of examination of holes increased. According to the elevated plus maze test, the number of visits to open and closed arms, hanging from open arms significantly increased with a simultaneous decrease in the frequency and duration of grooming, a decrease in the duration and number of freezes. The index of anxiety in the studies changed insignificantly. On the model of a black-and-white chamber, the time spent by rats in the dark and light compartments varied. The rats of the experimental group spent more time in the open space of the test, there was a significant increase in the exits and the duration of the time of looking out from the dark into the light compartments.
