This genus is represented by 109 species in Asia. Common names for the genus or its species include hogweed and cow parsnip. This paper discusses the phytochemistry, ethnopharmacological use and pharmaceutics of Heracleum species. Many kinds of metabolites have been isolated and identified, that furanocoumarins are among the significant ones. Modern pharmacological studies demonstrated that Heracleum and its active compounds have extensive biological activity, particularly in anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, anticancer, anti-psoriatric, anti-vitiligo and antioxidant activities. In clinical test, Heracleum has successfully been utilized to treat psoriasis, vitiligo, carminative, stomachs, pain killer and anticonvulsant.","PeriodicalId":217728,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Chemical Reviews","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123065957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hydrodynamic includes pressure drop across the bed, phase hold up distribution, flow regime, flow structure of each phase and solid circulation rate. Detailed analysis of axial and radial solid distributions, average solid holdup, solid circulation rate, critical transitional velocity for solid at different densities and fluids at varying viscosities was reported. The effect of the increase in liquid viscosity during heat and mass transfer phenomena in LSCFB has to be studied extensively as the industrial processing fluids are highly viscous.","PeriodicalId":217728,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Chemical Reviews","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124646611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among these, sulfoxides and sulfones show wide and significant applications as commodity chemical in various fields of chemistry. Therefore, synthesis of sulfoxides as well as sulfones has remained a point of attraction for synthetic organic chemists. Among array of methods used to synthesize the sulfoxides or sulfones, oxidation of sulfide is the most convenient way. This review precises chemoselective methods for the synthesis of the sulfoxides as well as sulfones focusing on oxidative protocols. Controlled release nano-formulation of herbicides in which the herbicides are incorporated in a nanosized matrix or carrier before application will be an excellent alternative over the conventional methods of herbicides application usually employed to control pathogens, weeds and several pests, thereby limiting the amount of the active ingredient available for unwanted processes. Various remedial agents are used for the treatment of cardiac diseases such as inotropics and vasodilators. Sympathomimetic drugs play an important role, but they unfortunately undergo severely from oral ineffectiveness and tachyphylaxis due to receptor desensitization. Recently, several cardiac phasphodiestrase-III (PDE-III) inhibitors have been developed with improved ventricular performance and exercise tolerances. Theoretically, PDE-inhibitors combine positive inotropy and vasodilation (known as zinodilator) action and these exceptional features make them very attractive. Various pyridazine drugs act as selective PDE-III inhibitor and characterized by a positive inotropic effect combined with vasodilatory effects. The pyridazine is an important heterocyclic structure with various biologically active compounds with diverse pharmacological activities. Pyridazine hold considerable interest relative to the physiologically active cardiac compounds such as Ca+2 sensitizing and PDE-III inhibitor activity. However, some pyridazine compounds have been reported as effective agents in the treatment of several cardiovascular diseases including, acute and chronic heart failure, myocardial infarction, angina, arrhythmia, and hypertension. Pyridazinone nucleus has focus attention because of new pyridazinone compounds will design and development of novel Ca+2 sensitizing and PDE-III inhibitors as cardio tonic agents in future.","PeriodicalId":217728,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Chemical Reviews","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129557123","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This review covers separation and preconcentration procedures, and consider the features of the their application with several spectrometric techniques. The use of an appropriate sample handling technique is a must in an analysis of trace Cadmium in water. The efforts to use a solid phase for the recovery of analytes from a water matrix prior to their detection have a long history. The initial experimental applications of SPE resulted in widespread use of this technique in current water analysis and also to adoption of SPE into standardized analytical methods. Cadmium is recognized worldwide as a poisonous metal. Thus, the determination of this element is often required in environmental, biological, food and geological samples. However, these analyses are difficult because such samples contain relatively low concentrations of Cadmium, which fall below the detection limit of conventional analytical techniques such as flame atomic absorption spectrometry and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry. Several preconcentration procedures to determine Cadmium have therefore been devised, involving separation techniques such as liquid–liquid extraction, solid phase extraction, coprecipitation and cloud point extraction. Review of preconcentration procedures for determining Cadmium using spectroanalytical techniques. A brief overview of the history of the use of SPE in trace Cadmium analysis of water is given in presented paper.","PeriodicalId":217728,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Chemical Reviews","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116007129","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
